12.27 @ 114 is a "low 12" in my book. my 60' was 1.95 on street tires. Granted that was my best pass in good conditions (+400 DA ish) mods were exhaust, OTR CAI, tune, minor weight reduction. A4

By no means am I saying 04 GTO's are track beasts. But they are pretty comparable to f-bodies but with the handicap of IRS & extra weight, made slightly better power due to the 243's. Had better gearing in auto cars came stock with 3.46 gears vs optional 3.23 in f-body.

Damn, you really are handy at owning near record cars.

May have to motion to change your screen name to "Ranger" on here.

So where is our proving grounds data?

I'll take that as a compliment. Although I could never bang gears like Ranger. My ET's have all come from auto cars. My last M6 car was a 93 Z28.

Making cars run to their true potential takes someone who is extremely detail oriented. I go thru my cars with a fine tooth comb making sure everything is functioning properly while doing any "free mods" (no hole-sawing here) lol

Proving grounds data is screen shots in my personal email inbox. I'm onsite at a clients location running an FEA simulation using their hardware and network. It won't allow me to access my personal email. (oddly enough it doesn't block this site, so I can surf while my computer is tied down running the simulation.

agreed, most runs in typical DA were in the 12.40-50 range. A tail wind may have been involved in this run lol This was just after US 131 motorsports park opened for the spring season (2011 I believe)

Damn, feel sorry for those guys. What elevation are you at? Or just crappy track?

I guess I got lucky and had fast tracks nearby, in MI US 131 motorsports park has records for some of the fastest passes in the nation. Then I moved to Orlando OSW got redone by the new owners and is in great shape now.

Cedar Falls Raceway

Not the best track but definitely not the worst either.

In heat of the summer, DA will get to 2500-3k

The runs I'm quoting were made at ~500 DA

A cam only ls1 m6 running 13.1@110 with a 2.2 60 and a cam only ls1 a4 running 12.8@109 with a 1.8 60

Anything can happen on the stripz I guess.. Lol!

But seriously, the cars you referenced should be way faster than what they are. It's just funny how the whole LS camp (no matter the extension of their mods) at your track is slow as ***** but your LBO Br0 goes low 12s somehow....

Added pic to previous post.

I just post what people run. Turns out I was incorrect on my previous post and the m6 cam only goat had a horrid 60. Let me find that slip

Sounds like the h/c/I LS1 GTO that I walked with my Mystic Z. Anyone who runs 13's or high 12's in a cammed LS1 needs to find a different hobby because they obviously suck at anything automotive.

My bad. Cam only ls1 m6 goat had a horrible 60 on my slow short shift 1-2 run against him.

Mid 13's in an LS2 Goat is either a horrible driver, or exceptionally high DA. Those are stock LS1 GTO times.

Best I've seen out of them. I could see a low 13 out of a good m6 car

The a4 cars were tuned very crappy out of the box.

A lot of stock GTOs had a horrible intake air temp sensor placement. Just by moving it to a better place made a pretty big difference in power.

Didn't know that. Good to know

For awhile when they were dirt cheap, I was looking at an 05-06 A4 model. Swap on l92/ls3 top end, mild cam, bolt ons and have a fun, comfy, quality built daily.
