Great race between two evenly matched cars. Regardless of what either camp says.

Agreed, but who races with oncoming traffic? I didn't even do that in Mexico when I was a lot younger and a lot dumber!

Agreed...I could see a short dig race and letting off early but to run your car out past 140 on that road is dumb as ****. Must be getting old...smh

I've always said it was a drivers race.

Great race! Agree with the comments about the crazy speed on that road. Personally, I would not have the ***** to do that with on-coming traffic and no divider.
Good close run though and seems like a drivers race to me..

Good race. Not the same results I have had, but the skreets are the skreets.

it kills me to admit it but 5.0s are faster but 5th gens are handsomer.

i actually prefer the look of the 13-14 5.0s. now the 6th gen ss im sure will lay the smack down, but until then ive never come across a 5th gen i could not beat. not saying it doesnt exist, just havent seen it yet.

6th gen wins pretty decisively out of the box. Huge improvement over the 5G. 5G made me buy my first Ford car. 6G has me considering going back to a GM ride.

yea after i got rid of my hawk and my lightning i tested the new 11 5.0 and 5th gen camaro, hated the interior of the 5th gen and liked the retro 5.0, plus noticed the 5.0 was snappier and quicker off the line. i went and tested a new 6th gen when it came out and still hate the interior and now the exterior as well but have to give it props its a quick car with mods they should do well. it inspired me to get a ws6 for cheap and build that instead lol, the 15-16 mustang design belongs in the garbage can if you ask me.

Yeah, when I was looking at newer cars before I purchased the 13 A6 Br0, I test drove several A6 L99 5Gs. Just an awful car out of the box for performance, visibility, headroom (I'm only 5'8), and all of that. Test drove one with full exhaust and a tune and it felt like my stock 2013 Br0. The choice was pretty easy from there.

The new 6G is a badass car. I test drove a black 8l90 2SS a few times. Loved the interior and the subtle improvements in viability. Headroom was still questionable and I spent the entire time during the test drive trying to find a good driving position with the steering wheel. Just awkward ergonomics. I personally like the looks. The car felt geared very well too so that was a nice change for a GM product. No more needing a gear swap the first day you pick the car up like with the 4th gens.

6th gens are sex! I am considering one (still have not test driven one yet) but would have to be a manual for me. When I bought my 5th gen brand new in 14 I did test drive a 5.0 and knew it was the faster car (stock) but the lack of sunroof and me getting a killer deal on a leftover 13 2ss manual made the choice pretty easy for me. The thing was such a damn dog stock (26 miles on the clock) I immediately took it in for cam swap and fbo, and head porting. It honestly was a beast after that but still nothing to brag home about.

My experience was with used vehicles. Knew I wanted a 13+ Br0 or 12+ 5G. Normally can get a steal on leftover GMs when the next year's models are out.

do 5th gens really feel slow to you guys?

i admit my 1le isnt a rocket but it has no problem getting going in any gear.

they are big and heavy but i think they overcome that to an extent.

I think the 5th gens are going to be a sore spot in a Camaro. Especially with the newer ones getting much lighter.
