Default S4 gets in my way.

So I'm bored Tuesday night. Driving around a bit, decide to go catch a movie, end up watching Chronnicles of Riddick. Movie's over, it's about quarter past midnight. Jump in the car looking forward to a good rip home. Pull out of the theater, highway onramp is a few hundred yards down the road. I'm first out, looking forward to an unobstructed rip down a nice left sweep, right sweep onramp.

Next thing I know, this Black Audi rips by me on the right, and cuts back in front of me for the highway just a hundred or so feet from the light. So we're sitting at the light, and I'm a bit pissed at this guy getting in my way. S4 badge on the trunk, can't really remember anything about the S4 (don't know a whole lot about Audi's in general), other than it's quattro. Whoopdie doo.

Light turns green, and he manages to get a bit of a jump on me due to a lack of traction I have to deal with. I'm caught up with him half way thru the left sweeper though. We're doing a whopping 45mph, about 15-20mph less than I wanted to be doing. Transition to the right to merge with the highway. Left curb stops about halfway through the turn opening to break down lane well before the "official" painted line merge point.

I'd left it in 2nd gear in preparation for a cut and gun. Once the opening was there, check for no oncoming traffic (no traffic at all after midnight), cut out early and punch it. Grr, unloaded inside wheels spins on me for a split second until weight transfers back, then hooks and goes. I pass the S4, hit 3rd, and keep it punched till 90mph, at which point I drop it to 6th, ease off, and let it coast back down to a cruising 75mph.

A few moments later, the S4 goes ripping by me on the left, and just keeps on going. Must have been doing well in excess of 90mph, close to if not over triple digits. No mind to me though. I'm already thinking about the next exit, which is a nice high speed leaf of a clover leaf that'll let me get onto the Northbound. 5 minutes later, I'm taking that original onramp how I originally wanted to take it.

Cars are always getting in my way, but very rarely is it so blatantly intentional as this was. Don't know if this qualifies as a kill or not, just wanted to vent a bit. Never even wanted to race, just wanted to have some fun on the ramps is all.

Haha ... you sound like a little kid.

Nice kill, those S4's are pretty quick.

For all intents and purposes, I'm just a 30 year old kid. In 10 years, I'll be a 40 year old kid.

The world be be a better place if slower cars would just yeild to faster cars. I dont understand what is so hard about that concept. You should visit Germany and see how they drive. It is wonderfull. But be glad you didnt run into a S6...I got my *** handed to me by a S6 sportwagon on the autobahn the other day. Those things are fast..I dont think it was stock.
