Recently ran a premium 12 bolt on 5.bro. The power difference is negligable. His added weight made it ugly for him.
The 2011-2012 lightweight Bro is the king. You run a premium you get a heavy car. You run a base model light weight, the bro is a different animal entirely.

200 lbs!... Don't know about that. At least going off the cars I've owned personally and with the data I've seen.
Not sure on the s197 but a base s550 is 3705 and a loaded premium with stereo etc was like 3815 in motor trend. A good 30 lbs of that is PP components.
16 1ss to 2ss both with standard options is only like 40 lbs difference. add the moonroof and MRC and you can get around 80-100 lbs difference. Add the larger front brakes and you got a little more weight. Can't think of much else.
The only way 200 lbs is happening is a premium weighed with full tank and a base when near empty. And or also not considering transmission option as well. Curb weights from the man are with all fluids full. And the base model is typically the manual. No extra options.
IMO the average difference between base and full option cars is about 100 lbs.
Ive never heard of a 2011-12 loaded GT manual weighing 3800-3900 lbs either. The base 11 GT curb is like 3603 IIRC. So to add 200+ lbs would put them in that range. Only the very heaviest s550s go over 3800.
Lol just noticed ur sig...nice

Bros obviously run very well. I think the Ford camp got so used to running 14's and 13's in the quarter for so long, something that runs 12's stock feels like the starship enterprise.

I just got out of 5.0's a few months ago but I can tell you im fairly sure that 5.0 wasn't cammed, I could be wrong though im not involved in the video so who knows. There is a ghost cam tune that some guys run but IMO its entirely pointless and in the same category as fake BOV's on Hondas. Not saying anything bad about the 6gen it performs very well for sure, big step up from the lackluster 5gen. Too expensive still as of yet though.
99% of 5.0 guys don't cam the car, the factory cams perform well and most people who have done them netted only a few extra HP, not like how an LS1 picks up in a cam swap. That and the total out the door cost of a cam swap for a 5.0 at that point you might as well gone Paxton/vortech/roush.

^^^so true on the cost....but as far as "few extra hp", the ones around here have seen at least 40hp or more.....Buddy was at around 452 on CJ set up, FBO, and E85. Went with Comp Stage 3 and now puts down 508 on same dyno. Cost is up there for sure but for those who want to keep it NA, thats what they got to spend lol

tune and tire br0 is not outrunning a proper hc fbomb. With the right mods (fbo) I will buy this but not tune and tire. We are always going to have dreamers in every bunch be it Gm, Ford, or Dodge. Stock for stock the br0 will spank a 4g. To me the br0 stock is more of a lbo/tune only 5g to be fair. a stock 5g will get spanked bad, but a 6g will spank a stock br0 like there no tomorrow.
