GT350 vs 6th Gen

Troof. Anybody who pays ADM is retarded too. Know a few car guys locally who have picked up gt350s at cost.

GT350 still performs good on track - passed a C7 Z51 easily.

Dealer mark up is total bs. There's already profit built into selling it at MSRP and it's not like Ford changes their price based on market interest at the time. They're just artificially inflating a product because they're the only ones who can get them - you can't order one directly from Ford without going through dealerships.
Sure, you could always go to another dealer, but I called every Ford dealer in my state - everyone in the immediate area marked up the car $10k. Cheapest I heard was $8k ADM. Needless to say, I did not buy in state.
Thought it interesting that Ford is enforcing dealers to not sell the new Ford GT with any mark up. They're threatening them saying they won't give them any business if they mark up their halo car.

I'm not convinced that many FGT will even hit a dealers.

You're probably right. My guess is they're going to be personally shipping them in enclosed trailers directly to the owner's house, from Ford. Doubt they're going to let the dealers "prep" them for delivery.

At willow springs with equal drivers the gt350 is 1.3 sec behind with equal drivers.
You're a amateur. .....the guy in the vette was likely a amateur. Could even be a vast difference in experience.
Hence.....you passed the driver.

Yeah, we all know Ford doesn't make a direct competitor for the Corvette, but the $63k GT350R still beats a $63k C7. But then Chevy doesn't make a direct competitor for the new Ford GT either. Ford GT actually beat the C7R in Le Mans.

It was an open track day, in the same group. There shouldn't have been that big of gap in experience. It would be one thing passing him in my s2k, but that's not what happened. Cars are closer than anyone cares to admit.

So the best mustang is significantly slower than the best vette.
Now not assuming your dumb because you have brought up tires before. Don't you think the base vette has less tire than the gt350r premier mustang?
Same track same car I've seen as much as 6sec a lap differencein professional drivers. Granted not the elite drivers. But from our best.....drivers like Bill Auberlin and Joey Hand to drivers lets say not as good.
