Default One quick Jeep

I met an old friend i use to work with at the local hang out place saturday night. He told me he got a 5.9 Grand Cherokee All wheel drive. He told me that he had alittle into it. And he was about to race a 5.0. I went to watch and when the hands dropped the cherokee was gone he had about 3 cars on the 5.0. After he looked at me and was like you want some(in a joking sence). I wanted to what it could do so we went. Off the line he spin all 4 and I spin just alittle and hooked quick. He pulled a 1 1/2 cars on me off the line. I pulled quick through 1st and 2nd. When i hit 3rd he was only 1 1/2 cars behind me. When I shut down at about 100 and i only have 3 cars on him. I couldn't beleive. That thing is fast as hell for a Jeep. And it killed me off the line. Afterwards he told me he had all the bolt-ons and had about 400 lbs of weight reduction. And he had heads and cam coming in a month and he wanted a rematch. I know it's hard to beleive just thinking about it. I'm planning on getting a video of him racing and i'm make sure to put it on here. sorry for the length.

Nice!!! that sounds like a badass jeep... I wanted to put a sbc in our jeep next summer, but the thing was rusting away, and we got rid of it...

My wifes car is a 2003 Grand Cherokee Overland. AWD/4.7L H.O. making 265 flywheel hp and over 300 tourqe. I read somewhere they can run low 15's. For being a SUV, it moves. It's fun to **** ricers off when we're going out to dinner. Then my wife yells at me and tells me to stop wasting her ******' gas. Oh, and I'm not allowed to mod it except for an intake. I'm thinking about a QTP cutout so she wouldn't know about it......

Theres a local guy around here running 12's in a Grand Cherokee. Looks stock except for some different wheels. Great sleeper!
