That's a grueling race. We would be up for nearly 48 hrs doin that race.

Yea....but that thing should be in the P class with the rest of the carbon tub cars.

We won that race back in the day with M3s

Yeah, Ford #1, Porsche #2, Ferrari #3, Chevrolet #4; sounds legit to me.

 

Crazy that the top 4 was on the same lap after 24hrs and only a 4.5 second spread. The #3 vette got down a lap at one point and made it up to get there. It's a crazy race fo sho....and ******* grueling

I always liked doin the 12hrs of sebring better. Way more fans there. It's like a big party.

I was glad to see Joey be in the winning car. He drove for us. Very cool down to earth dude. We would go ride carts and stuff from time to time. Him, my buddy chris and i.

 

jack roush won his class ten times in a row in the 90's daytona 24.. same way chevy did recently. run nascar engines in endurance racing.

 

There has always been a aray of engines there. I was there when roush won some of his. As far as running actual nascar engines.....likely not. Maybe some componets from them but that would be it.

I can also atest to the recent chevy engines not being nascar engines. They are ls stuff. They have been for years. Although the very newest stuff is lt if they have went that route yet. If they haven't they are probably working on it.

A real nothing changed "nascar" engine likely wouldn't live through a 24hr endurance race.
