I know at least 6 people in a 50 mile radius who have cobras over 550whp and none of them have ever blown up or had issues lol

I seen a lot of Cobras blow up. The modded one it was the owner's fault usually...

 

One fact is my LS1 is the only engine that has ever blown up from mods and a subpar tune. That can happen with any car really. Cobra's catch a bad rap because they were faster than most LSX models with fewer mods, but in turn some people put mods on Cobra's without proper tuning and blew a few up in the past. **** happens and once you modify you are taking risk.

 

They make power easier due to having a power adder. They are not the easiest car to ET with. I still can't launch one to save my life...

A stock Cobra is unheard of these days but a WOT run in 5th gear is dangerous with a stock tune. But on other hand a factory pony car with a power adder is awesome.

 

Can't hate for an American company getting a car right and making it mod friendly! Gotta have skills to drive manual.

When mine was notches it blew up at 468whp. 4 blew up around here that year.

It's not a perfect engine by far. Head ticks are common and if you don't have the cooling mod you can forget about 7 or 8 living. Oil pumps have also been known to come apart in them.

When i press the gas on one i don't get the feeling of this is a badass motor. But more of a wife screaming in my ear about something she don't want to do. That's what blower whine reminds me of.

 

Quick, name this line of engine by their issues

Lifter issues, Oil pressure issues, Eating oil issue, Piston slap, Valve dropping

A lot of clues here so should be an easy one...
