i see Mike Morris is on that DUG weight reduction plane. You should remove the hood and doors next for maximum effect.

Actually no hes not. He's on his own there. I haven't cut on my chassis. Lots of guys do that but i have not.

I can believe it. My friends 66 ls1 chevy 2 went 12.3@115 and it's about as stock as a swap can get. It don't have headers, stall, ls1 intake still, no power tuning, only turned off stuff to make it run in that car. It don't have cats, it does have a regular type tube with a filter on it. Those are things that would make it not stock.

It's making it's own da nick. On top of that him having a killer chiller there is gonna be almost 0 loss do to da.

Hio can always "believe it" if someone comes in here with a outlier story of an LS anything running fast You could say you saw a ******* stock LS1 in a tank run a 12.0 and he'd buy it, because rose-rimmed glasses.

I only know my own experiences and what i have helped friends with.

It's not like I'm running around here claiming how great a 30p00 is or that a ls1 is somehow a sbf

I agree. Stock is just that, stock. Exactly as it came off the showroom window. Standard wear items like spark plug wires and tires don't really apply unless you upgraded them. Switching to a slick or a drag radial counts as a mod, but grabbing an all season to replace the stocker wouldn't.

Tires can go farther than that though. Usually it's not to hard to upgrade stock rubber with out goin over the top to a dr/slick.
