Default Lt1 Vs 300

This was about one of the coolest things I've ever had happen, so I thought I'd share it. I was drivin in my Formula and was on the way back from the mall, when I see a new Chrysler 300 in front of me. I'm like hmmmm. We hit a red light and I have time to get into the left lane so I do.

I look over to see a guy that had to be at least 50 driven with a young girl ridin shotgun. Both of our windows where open I so yell over "That thang gotta Hemi" caus I think theres like 3 different engine options with that car. To which he replys "Your about to find out", and i started LMAO!!! Light goes green and I didnt really think he was take off, but as soon as he did I followed suit and put about a car and a half on him up to about 70, then I slowed down and he went by with a thumbs up. Very cool guy.

Car kinda surprized me some, I thought I would have pulled him harder, but I looked on the specs of the 300 with the hemi, and stock it is 340hp/390tq. My car with the 2 mods it has dyno'ed 280hp/310tq.

Anyone ever thought about swapping a LS1 for a Hemi in a Fbod? Maybe get one out of a hemi-cuda or something.

I think the horsepower and torque are rated at the crank on the hemi's. Subtract between 15-20% and you will get a better idea of the actual power they put out.

Nice kill!
