Default Random manual ctsv vs my 5.slow

So let buddy who owns the ls2 corvette drive my 5.bro. of course soon he pull out we run in to a gen 2 ctsv. We follow on to insterstate and we are getting it. Him not pulling us not gaining. Finally he lets oit and we get beside.

1st run: 45ish we honk off and pretty clean hit. He jumps a bumper but we pull it back and its just steady even pretty much up to 130ish.

2nd run 60ish: again we honk off and this time we got a slight jump by a bumper. Buddy bangs limiter in 2nd and ctsv pulls even. Buy 140ish ctsv has maybe a bumper on us with us creeping back even taking inch lead back and forth.

We finally get around to where road comes to town abd hit light. He ask whats done as we do. I explain its my car. He says ya seen yall leave his house he got the vette. Guy confirms its a bone stock manual sedan. He also said he is trading it most likely for new 6th gen.

Buddy who has a gen 2 ctsv had told me it be good run. I expected the ctsv to pull. But guess weight really helped.

Good runs!

CTSV are nice, just not internet fast without a bunch of cash thrown at them.

Good kill!

They're not as fast as the GM cheerleading squad wishes they were.

Was really good runs. I was kinda shocked. I've heard them making upwards of 480whp stock.

The V2 stock is pretty unimpressive, nowadays. Mine weighed 4280 pounds without me in it and a 1/2 tank of gas back before I got my exhaust done. I haven't reweighed it since.

Good kill, personally i like the new cts-v and the new ats-v both cars look menacing with a few mods they are not to take lightly . if you would've not had a passenger you would've pulled a little more .

Good run. Not really surprised at the outcome. I would have figured the V2 to pull a bit more.

I ran thru a bolt on CTS-V coupe, and a few stock\bolt on sedans in my V1 h\c. Was always more than a car length. On spray, I would have gapped pullied ones. I put 5 cars on a GTR.

V2s trap around 115-117 in stock trim from what I've seen locally.
I'd be interested in seeing a run against another V2

I have seen them trap anywhere from 112 to 118 stock, so the results aren't that surprising. Add in the driver variable and you can go down from there.

What did your car trap on spray? I don't really know what all is/was done to your V1, but it sounds like a mid 120's at best trap.

Locally saw a CAI/tune V2 sedan go 12.2@119. They seem to run harder than the 5G ZL1s around here for whatever reason.

I've seen v2 ctsv range all over at the track. From 12.5-13.4 trapping 110-116.

I agree V2 > ZL1 stock every ZL1 I have drove has been all noise and no go . V runs hard and puts out less power
