Looks about right for a heat soaked 2.8 Eaton with an intake and a catback. Sweet find fury.

Not my fault that Furd gave them shitty heat exchangers. Even on the first run it barely beat a stock ls2.

I think the vette guy got up on the wheel and started driving after the 1st run. That looks to be the biggest difference to me.

I have been in and out of 03/04 Cobra's since 2004. The Cobra heat exchanger isn't that bad, but that sure did seem like a **** load of heat soak for a stock blower and upper only. Either way he won some and lost some. Such is life. I trapped 122 with the same mods as that guy.

For reference, I didn't notice any difference on street pulls between my stock heat exchanger and the Afco on the new car, and the old car had only the stock heat exchanger and I never really had heat soak, especially on street runs where the car was cruising in between runs.

The real sad part of this story is that both of those cars would WALK retardfury.
You trapped 122 upper only with stock exhaust?

JP trapped 121 with 2.76, x pipe, catback, intake, TB, tune. But he had an aftermarket heat XC I think.

That's a really good trap for those mods, I would have been pleased as punch with that. Was that full weight? I've heard/seen 120+ traps for upper only cars, but I never got there myself. The best I could muster on my old 2.8 setup was a 117, but that was with a midpipe, catback, and a jlt. Your experience with the AFCO h/e is interesting, I experienced noticeably less heat soak on the street with the AFCO unit, even before the fans. Between that and a big mouth expansion tank, I was OK at the track.
And you're right, both cars in the video would probably buttfuck redfurry.

My buddy's pulled 03 Cobra ran much better than this one. When he was upper pulley only I'd pull him slightly from a roll, but when he did the lower pulley and a stage 4 port he'd pull me ever so slightly. He trapped 121 with upper pulley and 124 after the ported setup

Good for you. It went 126 with a ported blower.

Full weight plus some. there are lots of low 120 upper only cobras. The problem with heat soak (not to mention blown engines) has always been high speed runs, or repeated high speed runs. Also, I usually run at the track in good air, so the heat exchanger doesn't do much anyway.

Here is my whipple car last year with a really simple full weight setup. It's gone a couple tenths faster, same mph. The afco didn't change iat2's on the street or the track, but I run a little underhood ice tank at the track. I'll find some videos of my eaton car and post them.
