Default C6 ZR1 vs C7Z

This weekend I ran my buddy with his bolt on C6 ZR1 (610rwhp) in my C7Z (CAI only) and I pretty much got raped...lol

This was an unplanned deal so I had a passenger and a full tank of gas vs. him riding solo and 1/2 tank... He wanted a 60 roll so I agreed to that (even though it's a terrible rpm for an A8)... He stole the move and sodomized me.

It was still fun tho. I've beat him twice on slow rolls (40) because it's a bad speed for him and good for me.. I owed him this one...

We'll probably run again in the next few weeks with both of us without passengers and try to get an even start...I'm sure he'll still put a couple cars on me but....that's to be expected considering.

Thanks.

Yeah actually I know this is slow **** being posted but.....I still thought it was entertaining.

Both the ZR1 owner and myself have had "fast" cars (8 sec) and gotten over that ****, so we both eventually ended up back in slow, stockish cars.... less headaches and BS....not to mention much cheaper.

Nice run. With those couple stips & leaving at the same time should be a great race.

I'd really like to get a run w/ a stockish c7z.

Same here, but would like to try a Zl1 first.

True statement. No loser there. ZR1 makes it tight in the crotch region, metaphorically of course

Hey buddy. I don't know what happened when we linked up a little. Seems like our cars would be a good run. Do you have a 100 shot? I always like competition. If you ever want to test out an old stroker ls1 let me know.

Yeah his is pretty bad ***....Very mild setup, mainly for reliability.

2.6 upper pulley
LPE snout and Synergy CAI
2" ARH headers/ X pipe
3" B&B cat back.

He also has all of the D3 Cooling mods/heat exchanger system.
Makes a consistent 610 rwhp.

Sitting on Forgeline 19s and 345 MTs.

I'm sure he'll go full retard on it eventually, but for now, he enjoys having a reliable car with no BS.

Mine is bone stock other then the CAI....But the A8 makes up for a lot...
Considering the move he got and me with a passenger, I know I could shorten that gap by a couple cars at least.

Sounds like you need full exhaust and more boost.

Since I can say the exact same for many other cars, then I guess that makes me for some Dodge, Ford, Nissan, Toyota, Mazda, Plymouth, etc. cars as well. Yeah I'm a total

Yeah thats pretty much always the answer...LOL

I'll likely do some bolt ons next year, for now I like having the warranty and no BS.

I'll likely do headers/X pipe, 18% lower, Meth and Flex fuel it....That will make 675 ish on an A8 and run 9.90s, and it will drive like stock. Thats as far as I am going with this one. I've been down this slippery slope with a vette before, not doing that again.

I am getting the bug to build another fast car, but it won't be a vette.

Here we are doing a 45 roll...

We had to shut down early due to a car blowing up in front of us...

Both of us had passengers, both in 2nd gear.
