This is great this guy is just increasing my power . Last night I was cruising down I-75 about 2 am and there was nobody on the road i pull off at an exit to get some gas, and there is this fairly nice looking NBM 350z sitting there gasing up. I watch all these guys flock up to this 350z and start asking him all kinds of questions. He starts bragging like yeah this car is fast as hell the top end is awesome and don't even get me started on the launches. Im laughing to my self because my 98 formula is sitting there looking all v6-ish like so i walk up to him and say nice car man. He looks at me like I got two heads and says hey buddy why not trade in that POS v-6 and get a real car like me. Im like wtf this guy has some *****. I tell him okay but before i trade my POS in you want to run them I want to see just how bad i will get smoked . He says I don't race for free, I respond well i just got back from the ATM and I got about $250 will that be enough. He laughs and says okay lets go, by this time theres about 100 people watching these events so we cruise right out to the front of the gas station. Long straight road about 2 miles long. My girls in the car and she hates it when I race but oh well this is for money baby shut up hehe. I hear him reving the hell out of this **** light turns green he nails it. I accelerate to 30 mph then punch it. The car was about a car length ahead of me at the time and within 2 seconds I was on his *** like white on rice. About 75 mph i have about 3 car lengths on his *** and still pulling. I make it up to 115 then shut it down and this guy blows by me the ricer way. Well we go back to the gas station and I tell him to ante up he says is that thing turbo'ed, I like nope just your standard LS1 in action. Beleive it or not he pays up $250 bucks and I smile and say thanks man you just bought my new cam. I even got a round of applause when we got back. Plus the speed turned my girl on what more can a man ask for. Bitch *** Z goes down haha. Good to see the 115k mile formula still kicking ***.

Wait, wait, wait... you were a full car length behind at 30 mph, and then you punched it ... and then by 115 you had 3 car lengths??? Your car is almost completely stock? The 350Z isn't that slow. If you gave him a head start by not launching it hard (which is the auto's strength) I would think you'd have a lot more difficulty than that catching him. They run high 13s.

 

on this one...i dont know why..but itz hard to believe that there are soo many ppl gathering around just to see 350z....at the gas station round 2am..plus...how often do u meet a person...saying "ur car is POS...trade it in...for a real car LIKE ME" itz hard to believe it...plus all those (100) ppl drove and watch u guys race...and came back to same spot to see u win $250.....THIS IS BS story....nicely made up buddy...

 

Call bs if you want but here in Georgia 2am on I-75 at certain exits is jammed pack full of people. Plus due to the fact that it is summer people are everywhere here in atlanta. Plus I have run into several 350z recently that make the mistake of thinking my car is a v6 or stock at that. I have not updated my sig in a while perhaps i will do that now. I have Kook's LT's, GMMG, Ported ls1 heads, Lid, FTRA, !air, TB bypass, Plus i have to run it up to 30 mph before flooring it or else i will just sit there and spin. I have raced several Z's before and every damn one of them is slower than ****. Time to update the sig i guess. Also the people didn't have to drive anywhere. Read carefully we raced right in front of the gas station there was a light about half a mile down the road that we raced from so we had to go right by the gas station when we raced. People in 350's are cocky man just wait until you run one. I get tired of people sometimes mocking my formula and occasionally have to show them the power of a modded LS1. And now that I have an extra 250 buxs I can afford my G5FX2 cam then i will get me a 3800 stall. Then they will really have to talk some **** and pay up. Still call bs on this one. Z's are slow period.

 

Those 350's are fun to spank. I have 3 co-workers... THREE.. they all have 350Z's. Silver, Black, and White. I had to show them what my little Camaro could do to them.

No, the 350z runs mid to high 14's stock. They are slow as *****. I equate them to the pacecars you always pass in those old racing games.

Car and Driver says 14.1 at 101. I think his story is genuine. Come on...a 287hp 3300 pound car, against a (if stock) at least a 320hp 3400 pound car. I think the LS1's top end would do him justice.

In that MT test the also tested the Track Model of the 350Z, that would have made it slightly faster.

I KILLED a 350Z in my old 97TA A4 that was stock except for a cold air kit.

 

There is no doubt in my mind that the LS1 could beat the 350Z even with the headstart. Seems to me that the other stuff was fabbed up. I agree with the other guys...100 people gathered around to see a 350Z ?!?!?!?!?! Yeah right, we had a Diablo here in OK and we didn't even have 100 people gathered around to see it at one time. The whole story besides the LS1 beating the 350Z just seems like a lot to choke down. The guy is near stock...he's listing a TB bypass as a mod like it matters. I've done the free mods...so what!!!

To the ricer guys, the 350z is a HUGE deal ... and those are the type of people that gather everywhere here in ny .... theres one road where there must be at least 800-1000 kids that gather on the weekend to show off their little rice mobiles .... I go down there everyonce and awhile to work on them ...
