KB 03 COBRA vs 14 GT500
#21
Cobra is powered by Ford. Says so in big letters when you open the hood. Weird, I thought they hsd 1.8 VW turbo motors in those things. Polished camber/caster plates obviously doing tremendous work in multiple performance areas.

With all the LSx swaps today in just about everything, you have to official call out who powers the car.

Don't ignore the power of camber/caster plates. I gaines 3/10's and 5 mph in my fox with those alone. The polished under the hood **** gained me even more. Polished battery cover is worth 4/10's alone.

Fuel rail covers bring to the forefront how ugly LS motors are. Tiny little valve covers with shitty looking wires and coils allover.
Ford motors with valve covers the size of a Rosey O'donell dress.... they actually look pretty bad ***. Much like Rosey's ***...bad.
LS fuel rail covers, $79.99 Summit SBC chrome kit - they're both the same. Make an ugly thing look less ugly while adding immense car show points and/or pop the hood at a gas station cred.
I personally add 5rwhp to the SBC who's air cleaner DOES NOT a have name on it.
Moroso??!!!???!!!!???? Is there a blower hidden in the block???!!!
Summit Racing??!!!???!!!!??? Do you have all of their top secret, low budget speed parts on your 305?!?!?!?!

People with a sticker for a TB spacer company are the Gods of Pro-mod.
Big valve cover Fords actually do look cool. They just don't make any power. My car looks awesome, makes power but has ---hmmm, small one,---valve covers.
Valve cover aesthetics vs performance is a very tough thing to balance. Some want one while some want another.
It's like having a huge dick and cumming in 9 and a half seconds, or a middle he road dick with some stamina. Either one can get stuffed in a box. Both parties have a definite preference.

One last thought, since 1955 there has been a rule - any car with a Corvette motor is fast. Especially when compared to the Ford shitbox motor equivalent.
My dad had a 1983 blazer with a mid 70's corvette 350. We never took to the track but it was probably a low 12 second machine. That motor blew up and we replaced it with an untouched 1981 junk yard truck motor before we sold it. We told the new owner it was a vette motor - still had the valve covers and air cleaner - and he still ran 12.80's with 126rwhp in a full size truck just cuz it had a vette motor.
