We both went off the 3 honks.... not sure what happened to the vette on that one... For Christ's sake, it was an auto, how bad can you **** that up?? Lol

We all know you shift well.
It's very easy to eff up a auto especially on the roll. He likely left it in D instead of holding the gear he shoulda been in. Probably why it looks like you got the hit.

I shift ok, could be better... I guess he could have left it in drive, but it sure as **** sounded to me like he was down shifted... what you dont see in the video, is how we cruised next to each other IN GEAR, for about 8-10 seconds, waiting for the road to go straight.

The A8 is a picky bitch for sure. If you don’t practice with it and really memorize the speeds to start/shift each gear, you’ll make a mess of it for sure.
60 mph roll in VERY bottom of 3rd in the A8 (3600 ish)and the car is a complete DOG from there. Starting in 2nd must be 45 mph or less, or it WILL hit the rev limiter before you get it to shift.
The gear spacing is not that good in the A8...ironically.
I have vids of me racing my buddy in his ZR1 and from 45 rolls, I put 2-3 cars on him, from 60 rolls he puts 3-4 cars on me. It’s ridiculous.
Zyborg, I’m sure a lightly modded GT500 would have no issue walking away from a C7Z, they won’t even trap 130....unless at Atco.

The way I pulled him off the hit, it makes sense to me. Had no idea that 60 was such a bad spot for the auto c7z's.... Our gears are very different then. My gears are loooooong AF, in this thing. So its either 1st 25-35 mph or 2nd 50-60 for me...

Wow I expected more out of a Z06 that's like 2,000lbs lighter without any chance of a bad driver (auto). The man-pedal Ford really made the Chevy owner look stupid.

Don't turn into one of them man. When a car lets out its over. That's why autocock got his rep. Hit it on 2 then let out when he was about to get passed. He did pull up on you rather quickly then he just let out. You won......but with you in that z06 you have likely beat the gt5hundo

Id never be one of the bros. The autocock reference dont really apply to me meng... I went on the 3rd honk (not the second) and I never let off. I cant say whether he let out or not. It might have been a combination of things. I just know that I won that race. I did the "freight training", contrary to what Oneslow suggested. Thats the bottom line. Id also like to think that had I switched drivers, I also would have won.

Now did you win.....sure. was it because your car was faster. No.....atleast it don't look tgat way in the vid. But sometimes that's the way it goes.
