I'm guessing they both went 10s which is damn impressive on both ends.
And in a surprising turn of events the LS3 was on race gas and the coyote was on regular ol pump.

Awesome! Sounds like everybody that went had a good time, too bad there wasn't a stronger showing from the ford crew.

I will say Cory out ran me by .03 and props to him. I knew we were going to be close but I did not expect it be running a ported heads cam car lol I thought he was just locking cams out. Aaron had a pail of fuel that likely gave me about 5 over E85 so I made one test hit with aaron in the car, logged and made a quick call to Jake changed stoic to 12.45 added 2 degrees and sent it all day. I botched a 1-2 shift after a 1.50 60’ backed up and hurt the clutch trying to do a second burn out. Was a great day for a lot of us at a hero track.

I only had 2 clean runs. I was so happy I just loaded it up. 10.55@131.28 for me. I’m fully expecting 10.40s @133 my next time out maybe quicker. It bogged down pretty bad on that pass. I’ll tinker with it and go for 10.20@135 this fall. It was great meeting everyone. Thanks to everyone that came.

Great times. I was expecting high tens and high 120s. Way to represent.

Pretty solid. Congrats. Not sure even your projected times are out of reach for my heads cam build (what you told me last year) but we’ll see. A similar setup went 10.1 first trip out at 3700 lbs. him and another guy expecting 9s soon.

Thank you to Aaron for organizing the event and those that showed up!

For those that wasn’t present the 335i ran a new best on 93 pump gas.

60’ - 1.66
1/8 - 7.56 @ 93.44 mph
1/4 - 11.74 @ 119.26 mph

Changed to 110 octane fuel and hadn’t gotten the car & myself completely dialed in and on the third pass I broke the rear end. Never expected that specific part to break, but it did make it to the 60’ and it was a 1.50!

Even with the car breaking I was still pleased with my results, everyone else’s results, no negative vibes and we all enjoyed each other’s fellowship that evening over a meal and drinks. A toast was made to the great day we had and to the memory of our fallen SRK brother, Christian Clark aka oChristiano.

Thanks again to all and definitely congrats to those that ran some killer times!

Thanks buddy. The car still has tons in it. My end goal is 9.9x Stock bottom end. Won’t be easy but I’ll go for it. Are those cars you speak of Auto cars or stick cars?

Thanks to Airin for setting up this rental. Smoothest best run rental I’ve been to in a long time.

Cobro didn’t get a pb, but ran an 8.28 (0.6s of pedal at top of 1st gear)with the co owner driving.

Had a great time hanging out, everyone was cool AF.

Id like that too. I’m also tempted to keep the car more mild with a small cam and keep stock converter with ported stock heads. Should be good for well into the tens. It’s that or huge cam and stall. Tough choice. But I want to go a little faster bolt ons first.

Nobody has even done a track build with a stick car. One person just now figured out how to make them launch hard without bog on a bolt on car. Too bad GM really made it tough.
But they are SBE nothing fancy. 3700 lbs. no race fuel race brakes trans brakes etc. just ported stock heads and cam cars. One of them put down 585 rwhp through a stalled auto. They make crazy power heads/cam. The tuning is the tough part with these. Trans wouldn’t even stay off the limiter. Has a lot of trans tuning to do. Prays build that’s even more aggressive isn’t finished yet.

Everyone needs to show up for the next one. Car or no car. It's a damn good time.
