a properly sized (GPM) ewp is NEVER a waste. the higher you rev, the more power it saves. im doing a CJ pump with stock pump impellor delete.

That Mustang must have some work to keep with a LS3 C6, especially pulling it like that.
Good run by the 5.0, but stock vs stock/equal mods I think the LS3 is in a different league, cars are so damn light.

yea we found out in Indiana cammed 5br0s won't run with bolt on vettes.

Yep. Besides the weight difference the LS3 also stronger, not only in HP but with a 50+ lbft advantage when similarly modded. More TQ and a much lighter vehicle is hard to keep up with.

**** happens though - and all that matters in this thread is that he whooped that one, and hunting for excuses wont change that . A cammed 5.0 is not something to underestimate anyway.

It's the same pump a C-max uses for its hybrid cooling system, it requires custom hoses and different belt routing. I didn't wanna mess with that, just wanted a direct bolt in.

meziere wants 1000.00 for a coyote EWP. so....a CJ pump inline... with the impellor on the stock pump ground off makes it a pulley only. of course the CJ pump is made for the coyote and mounts in a specific location, but the principle is the same. if you gotta have the extra power , then there are plenty of inline EWPs.

heavy s550s dont. 2011-2012 base s197s do just fine. if that vette doesnt have any weight reduction, its about 100 lbs lighter than the average base s197 with a few reductions. and thats all.

meziere told me they don’t even think a bolt in solution will ever be available for the new lt1 given the shape and location etc

looks like my only solution is a custom job remote mount

custom type stuff isn’t my bag really. Maybe if I get the pump and a block off kit I could have a nice speed shop do me a custom job? The pumps are around 500 for 55 gpm and the block offs around 100. Then I’d just need a new belt. Fan switches are available now too. Be pretty nice to cool it down in the staging lanes with fan control and an ewp. My 20 lb battery might have to go though
