i drove a neon the other day.... not even an srt-4...well, it kind of was.....my brother in law got stuck with a neon from an ex, and his truck project was taking forever, so a month or so ago we went down to virginia to pick up an srt-4 drivetrain from a car some dumbass kid wrecked......he had to put an srt-4 hood and grill for the motor/intercooler to fit, but from the back it looks like a dumb little neon(he has the exhaust dump before the axle right now).......anyways, it gets NO traction in first and i hit the rev limiter my first time shifting cuz i'm used to shifting by sound and that little car doesn't rev very high......honestly, i was really surprised at how quick it was, but it feels so much faster than it is because it's so small and it's got a stick and in my case i drive an a4 ls1(no tc).....my wife said it felt like a carnival ride.......of course the way i drive, a lawnmower feels like a carnival ride......i don't know if there is a rev limiter or not, but he's had his over 140.....i was behind him in my car(13.1 1/4mile) and he hit it at about 75 and at 105 i hit the brakes so i wouldn't rear end him......cool little car, most of the guys i've met that have them are cool, but somehow the jackasses always seem to stick out like sore thumbs....

nice ls1 dude that thing sounds like an animal. but c'mon guys u cant compare that camaro to that srt. the guy in the srt was a moron. if that wouldve been me i wouldnt even had raced. that guy with his mods isnt pushing more than 240 at hte wheels n like 250 tq. that was a waste of gas. but if u were stock that would have been a way better race.

Yeah.. we pretty much all know its no comparison. The neon needs many more mods to be at the same level. However, the goons who got on here talking trash all had similar or less mods 
Your car sounds like it might be alot better. But then again, so is your maturity level. I think they go hand in hand alot of times. Usually the guys with slow cars talk junk, and the guys with the fast cars are cool.

I personally think we should just stop the debate of Neon vs Camaro, that sort of speaks for it all. For a turbo 4 banger, I'm going to give a SRT-4 props. Of course aftermarket they can be fast, a Geo can be as well. I don't think Camaro's need to keep proving themselves to Neon's. We should go fight a diffrent war like Supra's or Mustang's or keep showing rich boys in their Z06, Viper, or Ferrari that we can play too.
[When I say those cars, I mean those old guys who think their car was made unbeatable, there is plenty of guys who know they aren't unbeatable and fast stock, now when they mod some of those look out lol but hey its still a real challenge.]

i gotcha.....yeah, the viper's the shizznit, but i guess i don't think of 80k cars being muscle cars......although you can find a 93-94 viper for 35k now.......ya gosta have love for the lt1/ls1 though!

At the end of the day all that matters is who is quicker.

I say, "****.. if I bought a big block I could make 1200 horsepower alot more streetable with 500 ci than 200ci."
