That’s pretty low for E85. Hopefully it’s 5th gear numbers at least. Or he needs some Pray magic lol
looks like stock manifold too... which as discussed is totally worthless past about 5800. He has a lot of room to grow. A ported 95 TB is worth another 8 rwhp. A pulley could get him a few more too.
guess I don’t see the point in going with a cam until you have all the right bolt ons. And you might as well have the heads done they need to come off anyway to change lifters. It’s cool not trying to dog on him too much just don’t see the point of going to a cam to barely outrun a bolt on car and that could be a stretch if he killed his average power and is falling off big up top
also just thought about converter... is he is running a converter and it’s not locking on the dyno which is very common that will cost him 50 rwhp as well

Just discussing possibilities. You really think 500 is a good number when bolt on cars hit 480-500?
brandon hills 585 rwhp h/c a8 only made 52x in 5th with a unlocked converter
500 rwhp in 5th would be decent numbers for a cammed car. Even better if it’s an unlocked converter. But I have no way of knowing all the details just guessing here. And the stock manifold sucks *** with a cammed car.

Why do we still have no gears? Why no decent fueling solutions ? Why did only front race brakes just become available last month and still no rears? Why can’t we eliminate TM on manual cars ? Why are converter cars not locking until 4th gear? Why do most tuners still not know how to make an lt1 run correctly?
the aftermarket is lacking with the 6g. Maybe it’s the lackluster sales and the lack of passion from most owners. I hate to say it but the mustang crowd gets **** done. We just now finally have one shop running a race prepped 6gen manual car hard. And the results are very good. There isn’t even one single shop running the bolt on cars hard and the fact that I’m near the top of the heap is sad. I haven’t done that much. These cars are pretty damn solid but we can’t do it by ourselves

and you have gears, just got to do like tsp and swap rear ends. Same for tq management, just got to switch to aftermarket ecu

Stock ported IM/TB is tapped out at 540ish rw. Just can't get any more in there. The ported MSD/95mm TB is the ticket on that. I am seeing 40rw gains so far on H/C cars.
My car did 575rw in 5th H/C A8 through the 4C converter. E85 is the ticket puncher though. These LT1's don't do a whole lot more on pump gas than a well sorted LS3 does.
