3000 Gt
I was in my old hometown last 4th weekend. I was getting off the interstate and saw lights behind me that I thought were a guy I know who has an 03 Cobra. I was gonna' mess with him just for fun, but my friend asked, "Can you pull over here so I can get soemthing to drink?" I said ok, and thought what was my the guy in the Cobra around. Turned out it was a 3000 GT. After we got him something to drink, he said, "Damn, that 3000 smoked you." I replied, "Only because I had to get your sorry *** something to drink!"
So, whats the opinion? I have read a lot of tales of 3000's being on the losing end.
Oh yeah, and I have to add...I know an auto mechanic who works for a Mitsubishi dealer and he says the 3000's are absolute junk, lol. He says that whatever can go wrong with a vehicle does with the 3000's. Said he would not own one for anything!
Later, guys.

Also, I wouldn't call a 3000gt a ***** car, far from it.

Also, reguarding hepcat's last statement about their supposed bad reliability: yeah, I've honestly heard that they aren't reliable, but my mom had hers from October '99 with 24K miles on it to July '03 with 35K miles and even though it was only driven on nice/warm days, we never had a single problem with it. So I'm sure the majority were unreliable, but like every car out there with a bad reputation of some sort, we fortunately had one that never gave us problems.
First off, 3000gts are NOT AWD, and they are NOT twin turbo, you are thinking of the VR4's ....
secondly, one would assume anyone with some intelligence would just goto YAHOO and type in "3000gt performance statistics" or something along those lines, and in 3 seconds have the answers to your questions. This is the Street RACING section, not the "i'm too lazy to look up a cars performance, so I make a worthless post, section."
(sorry if I'm being hard on you, I just got home, alittle drunk and in a pissy mood .... it was wayyyy worse then this until I edit'd it just now)
