I didn't use the word multiply. It's a poor choice of words and sends the wrong message. What I said is on point.

I wasn't going to muddle my message talking about losses. Just wanted to redirect discussion in the right way. People are arguing this from the wrong side of the problem.

So a clutch can't multiply TQ?

The point being argued is either there is more or less torque send to the transmission than the engine alone can deliver. So by saying "gobs" are you saying there is more or less engine torque transferred?

No, it can't create energy. it's just a friction coupler between the engine and transmission. Fancy piece of sandpaper with a lot of pressure on it. Same basic concept as brake pads.

HioSSilver is coming at it from a different perspective though. He's talking about the impulse that launches the car.

Both your thoughts are blended together by the conservation of momentum. But I don't think anybody cares. Y'all just interested in naming a winner and loser.

Need to pick the throttle up faster to. You're launching at a high idle.
i def need a 26 but I was launching at 4-5k rpms if that’s a high idle then damn your idle is way off haha

It doesn't matter what the rpm says at 5% throttle when you start engaging the clutch....it's not making power. It's just a high idle. That's why i said you have to pick up the throttle faster. If you logged your runs you would find you're not going wot till 30-40 mph.

My highest trap speeds have been when I bogged it pretty hard off the line.

Don't worry about this dude here who thinks he knows it all. Even if you show him a log like this, he'll find something else to talk down about.

So your dumbass just proved my point. His rpm is pulling down.

How ****** turdy is your junk to be at wot @ 5k rpm and still pulling down to 23xx rpm. What a ****** turd......or i would be questioning that data.

In one post you have successfully looked stupid twice. Good job soslo.

Easy there hiho. Just stated a couple facts. Remember when you were so sure there was no way I was launching at 5k rpm at 100% throttle? Then I posted that log for you?? Just trying to help you learn that you don't know everything. Maybe ask, or listen, instead of yap.

Yes it is slow. Didn't build it for dig launches or track numbers. As I've been telling you for years.

Thanks. Is your mero going to be up anytime soon? Would be cool to see some more 1.2x 60' times from it.

You wasn't launching at 5k at 100% throttle. You was launching at 4400 and 16% throttle dumbass. That was 0 mph. And yes i can tell he wasn't wot.

What tires were you running? Because they must be made of glue to pull that pos 383 with 500whp down to 2300 rpm and not spin. I mean instead of you whining to me about **** and trying to prove something one would think that you would work on getting that built 383 camaro a little farther past a 12.0~

My ls6 is basically back together. Waiting on pushrods right now. Idk how many times i have to tell you that the suspension is completely different now for you to understand idk what it's gonna do 60 wise.
