Got you, reason is you can grab a LS for 10 bucks at your local junkyard and throw a turbo on it and run 8's. Apples to Oranges. Just sayin. Beautiful car, good luck with it.

LS sucks? why did it replace the sbc then? and its faster, gets better fuel mileage, can spin higher rpm reliably, the blocks are way stronger, last longer, leak less oil, the rods/crank/block hold up to more than double the hp. You can get an aluminum block cheaper. The fuel injection system is FAR superior than a TBI or TPI. The rocker arm design is better. the cam diameter is larger. The cam is much easier to change. The valve angle is much better. The heads are far superior.
I just think your brain is fried.

TPI got good mileage, despite it's other flaws. Stock LS rods and crank can handle 1000hp? I know the block can and said myself the factory ls block is good stuff! Yah cause weak Alum blocks are so great LOL 8 coils does rock but any engine can be retro fitted. No1 uses completely stock rockers and they have aftermarket shaft setups for SBC. I like being able to change lifters w/o pulling my cylinder heads! Again see the aftermarket they have low angle SBC heads BUT some 23 degree heads are flowing pretty good these days.
You don't even know the real reason the LS is Great LOL

I'm not a very good troll. The LS is a great engine and wish it was around before I got into the SBC but I'm a SBC guy and it's not bad once you put some work into it. Still you do get more street cred for LS kills with a SBC

I'm not surprised you can jump out on an LS from a stop. Just need torque to do that and SBC engines make a lot of torque. Separation doesn't occur until both engines are wound up in the rpm's. That's where the LS develops legs and runs, and the SBC starts wheezing for breath. You can fix that problem with the SBC but the engine is going to start to get rowdy while the LS still drives pretty nice.

My basically out of the box 23 degree AFR comp ported eliminators flow right with stock LS3 heads. My 383 has a smaller bore and intake valve than a modern 6.2 GM. My head still out flows the LS3 on the exhaust side. This is LPE’s flow bench. I could put 11 degree Brodix heads on and flow 380+cfm. This is through a 210cc runner. Making a pump gas rectangular port LS feel like a V6 below 4k on the street.
