Default Comparing my LS1 Buick GS to my 327ci Impala SS.

This is more of a bench race than an actual race, but this place is dead and some might enjoy. I was comparing my 70 GS to my moms 65 Impala SS, just for fun. Neither one of these cars is an ideal build, the 65 SS is an early 327ci with a basic H/C/I from the late 90's, has a transmission from a mid 70's car, and an open diff 4.11 12 bolt. The 70 GS is an LS1 with 243 heads and a comp 231/238 113 LSA, a 3.42 open diff 10 bolt that wheel hops like nobodies business. I'm not even sure the LS1 is tuned, because it cuts fuel at 6K and runs absolutely pig rich, going to get this fixed later this year. Skip to 2:13 in the video if you don't want this info again. TLDW: LS1 takes the 327 to gapplebees in the slowest straight line race ever. 327ci sounds way better and is so much cooler.

Randy's Ring and Pinion will sell you a pair of Yukon dura Grip clutch style "positracs". cheap, easy to install, and get ya Both Wheel Drive.

I've thought about that. My big problem is that the Buick 8.2 10 bolt is barely a step up from the GM 7.5 10 bolt and I don't know if I want to spend money on that, or just upgrade it. Would be fine for the 12 bolt in the Impala.
