I guess I missed it but is it a GST or a GSX? If it's a GSX it probably only trapped a little over 100 to run low 13's. Not all that great. A GST would probably be trapping closer to 115 to run that time. Either way you're going to win. If it's a GST, don't start patting the gas halfway down because you're out front. He could have some serious top end charge on you. Not trying to start a DSM vs F-Body war here. I just happen to own a 2000 SS Camaro and several DSM's in both the AWD and FWD flavors so I'm sorta familiar with their strengths and weaknesses.

Untortuatly i found out he was a GSX the hard way. he lauched on me so hard it wasnt even funny my nitto drags were completly bald and as u know with the 4.10 I couldnt grab for ****. spun all first and when i shifted into second i went sideways , it was pretty scary, by the time i grabbed he was about 2 1/2 - 3 cars on me . once i grabbed i pulled on him hard but still lost by half a car. i will go back next week with my newly purchashed BFGoodrich DR . i talked to this guy after the race and apparently he was faster then i thought he told me that he hit a 12.9 at the track. i think i can get him with the fresh set of tires though

That my friend was a waste of time. Digs really only show which car can get better traction.

Race from a 35 mph roll and show him what your car is made of!

Yeah i raced him fro a dig, that think launched on me like no other car i ever raced before. i asked him to run from the go but he said that that was unfaisr and he didnt want to maybe he was scared or something. im sure i could have gave him a good *** kicking from a go but from the dig but he got me. ill be back with my BFGoodrich DR

I think i will get him with a fresh set of BFGoodrich DR. and i i know i can get him from a go. i think i may take my Z into the high 12's maybe 12.8 or 12.9 around there

Better luck next time. Since it's a GSX, I'm surprised he only got out on you 2 1/2-3 cars as badly as you spun on the launch. I would think he'd get out that far on you with a nearly perfect launch. You almost ran him down though so it's obvious you have him in the acceleration department. Try not to panic on the launch when you see him shoot out in front of you. I know it's hard but just try to run your own race. I beat a supercharged Mustang with my TT Stealth one time because the driver of the Mustang nailed the throttle too soon when he saw me shoot out in front of him on the launch. I looked in my rearview mirror and he had actually run off the road on my side of the road. The good thing in your case is you know exactly how much ground you can make up during a 1/4 mile race. Just don't let the guy with the GSX turn up the boost any more. That could spell trouble for you if he's got an upgraded turbo.

Well of course you can, I beat WRX's all the time, but you have to admit it does not prove a whole lot of which car is faster, only which car has better traction.
