I beat an EVO by 4 seconds the last time I was at the track.

 

wow I dunno if those were good mods on the evo but the Z has a lid and exhaust and layed a beating

hahaha. That would be a great race too. But the evo did get walked, I would have thought his mods would have put up more of a fight.

Startin from a roll at 50 defeats the purpose of having an awd car.

 

That evo had nothing on the Z man even with those mods.

 

Thats what i told Brian (Evo owner). If I had the money in my car he has in his (price of original vehicles non-widthstanding)....ha...oh my it would have been so not-pretty. Those cars are NOT cheap to mod at all. Even compared to an LS1.

I am running a 255/50/16 BFG DR in that video and spun my tires (can ya hear it?) quite a bit..

 

I was finally able to see the vid. The Z28 was damned near bone stock and he walked all over that EVO.

Chad - Nice vid. Reminds me of my last trip to the track. I cut a 1.7 60' to the 2.2 60' the kid in the EVO cut and I beat him by 4 seconds. He was stock, but still funny **** considering AWD is God.

I love it! I was at another forum and had asked how good the EVO8 was at a dig vs a stock 01' TA lets say and I was told the EVO8 would kill it.

I may have to go back there and post this vid

 

Post it up if you want. I went back after that pass and cut a 1.6 60'. Again on my tiny little 255 DR's..

I was there again a week later and watched a near stock (adj FPR,2lbs additional boost) 86 T-Type cut consistent 1.8 60's on a small nitto.That's a w/a *stock converter* and racing at 3,800lbs. That's late 80's GM tech... I guess AWD isn't all conquering...

 

EVOs hook well but thats all they have.theyre at a major disadvantage from a roll against ls1s.

 

Let me know when you find a EVO cutting 1.3 60's like LS1 do.
