Lost to Supra TT.....
Now... fast forward to the other night.... all his friends are around his car egging him to race me once again, I agree and we start to set the terms. I had a friend of mine with me... 270 lbs.. and myself.. 270.. so I was a bit weighted down. The supra had the driver, 150 or so lbs, and a friend of his.. also about the same weight. So we were weighing in a bit heavier.
We head back to the same spot we raced before... I chose not to heat up my nittos,, they are completely bald now but they tend to hook decent, atleast from a 25 or so punch.. from a stop I soon found out they no longer hook at all, especially when they are not heated up.
Instead of honking the supra held 3 fingers out the window, counted down... I was trying to lean across my friend to see, but the supra ended up getting the jump, and I went on his movement. I tried to launch around 3k, and the tires went straight up in smoke
, I pushed it to the floor hoping they'd end up hooking, and all I did was crawl on the rev limiter... backing out of it, grabbing second, with the supra already 3 cars ahead, I pulled one car through second, go to hit third and it jams horribly.. *stock clutch, 2000 car with 52k miles
*Supra wins..
Second race... we BS around for 10 or so minutes and head back... we line up once again, this time I decide to launch a little lower, hoping to be able to grab traction and keep up in first gear. Supra once again does the 3 finger countdown, I go on his move... we launch, I launched at 2700 or so and it spins for half a second, and bogs down to 2k
I stay in it and run out first gear, with the supra having about 3 cars through first gear. I powershift second and leave it buried, and the Supras lead begins to fall away. Slam third, it actually went into gear this time
and I begin the third gear Ls1 pull... I pull my headlights all the way back up to the back of his door, and hit fourth, I pull my headlights all the way back up to the back of his front fender, and we have to let up for an upcoming railroad track... about 115-120 mph. I believe if we had ran out fourth gear I would have been infront of him.. but leaving on his move, having my big *** and my friends big *** in the car, and grabbing no traction with nittos tends to suck major ***. As far as cars and mods go..

I wanted to go from a 30 punch, since I was pulling the Supra in 3rd and fourth, I figure from a punch where I get traction, its all over. Who knows..
Heres a little video of my car from 30, you have hear it bog when I hit third and fourth, I guess thats just from the stock clutch and hydraulics?
