At the track, if someone leaves on motor and then gets on the dope, then you can hear it, but it is hard to tell if he launches on the gas... besides when the car rips up and rides the bumper past the 330 mark

EDIT: I'm editing to add on to my post, I'm wondering then how he all of the sudden during our second race after being so close he began to pull, and when I first saw he didn't have a turbo or seem like he had one when we raced from other turbo cars I've seen. I'm going to bet you know alot more then I do about cars, but I don't see how else that could have happened.

I think what he is talking about is the sudden jump in RPM's. Nonetheless good kill. Wonder what was making the noise. Air leak? exhaust leak? ***** to the wall leak?

My 150 comes in around 3400 or 3600 and you can tell what's going on.There is no bumper riding in my car however

I listened to it a few times and I really can't hear it. As I said, in my car, I can FEEL the juice hit, and I HEAR the rpms jump .... definately can't hear the spray itself though.
Actually, I just bought a mini dv camcorder and will hopefully have it by the end of this week. I plan on some nice racing action this weekend if all goes well, and if I get it in time I will definately bring it along.
Oh, ok. I think we had a little miscommuniation. I didn't mean that you could hear the gas coming out of the nozzle. I meant you can tell when it is activated. I cannot hear the gas itself in my car either.

You say that you cant tell when someone sprays. I can, maybe its the sudden burst of power out from no where or maybe its the sudden increase in loudness/rpms around 3k(Assuming that they waited to spray). I have a TRex, one of the biggest "sudden jump in power" cams there is, but its nothing like a instant 150 shot.
Whats funny though...he had a supercharger on that car but I have never seen a supercharger instantly gain 150 hp. Thats what I dont understand....
