Embarrassed LS1
We hit a light now and he and his friend in the car smile and I say "Whats up?" trying to act cool. I decided not to launch as I don't like launching much in street races, rather save it for the track. So he begins to jump the light and as it finally turns I learn he can't drive, tires spin car swings to the side as he finally catches traction I am about a car in front of him as I hear nitrious and he pulls infront and and continues to go, NOS all the way down the street we were on, it sucked I lost to a rice loving fake WS6, my third loss, and second to NOS. I can't way to get my upgrades, I'll be back Ricer T/A.
Got killed by a Foxbody Mustang and Integra as well. Losses I hate to admit. At least it was a T/A.
EDIT: I'm editing to add on to my post, I'm wondering then how he all of the sudden during our second race after being so close he began to pull, and when I first saw he didn't have a turbo or seem like he had one when we raced from other turbo cars I've seen. I'm going to bet you know alot more then I do about cars, but I don't see how else that could have happened.

You can't HEAR nitrous, obviously, and that is that. Good death. Now go get a 150 shot and one of those fake BOVS(with a speaker) and let your opponent "hear" the N20.
I thought I would share the story, just wish the kid didn't like rice burners as much as he does. Trending Topics
I say you *can* hear nitrous hit in some cases. If you're listening for it. Sounds like the revs jump and the exhaust note gets louder.Think downshift+.
I run anywhere from a 75-150 (wet NX single nozzle) and I'll say the 75 is hard to detect but the 150 is pretty easy to pick out by ear.
If everything goes ok tonight I'll have a video of myself and another guy spraying. He's running a dry kit and myself the aforementioned wet. I'm willing to bet you'll hear it kick in. I am sure he'll be running around a 125 on his NOS 5177.Well, he will if he wants to keep up with (or beat) me

Losing to dorks sucks. Start buying parts. If I lose tonight I will be....
The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
1) He has a 98 Trans Am
2) Has the WS6 hood on his 98 Trans Am
3) Has the WS6 badge on his non-WS6 Trans Am
4) Sprays nitrous
None of the above is ricey. The WS6 badge might be a little poser-ish... but that isn't ricey. Now... a VTEC badge would be ricey.
Oh... and exactly how different does a 150 shot sound from a BIG cam hitting its powerband?

A cam coming online is nothing like instantly adding 170hp to the crank via N2O. When is the last time you saw a G5X3 show a 150+ hp spike on a dyno chart?
C'mon. You're killing me here
I agree with you on the points 1-4 being non-ricey.
we talked for a bit, thats all he is really doing to it. Putting a dvd/cd/mp3 and mostly audio things. He turned out to be a nice guy who couldn't hook up at the line because of his supercharger. Our first race he must just have not hit it or I would have noticed. I now know though the supercharger is what I heard, I can normally tell forced induction. So I was wrong and such, I'm glad I get my pride back a bit instead of losing to a rice lover. I called him that by the way because when we first met he was talking about how he wished he had not got the T/A and bought a Eclipse or EVO because he believed AWD was better for drag. So that clarifies it, if some of you think I'm a idiot now I suppose what can I do. Just wanted to post a death that I misread I now know.

If he barely beat you like you say, and he's supercharged, he's either got to be the WORST driver EVER, or there's something terribly wrong with that car.
s/c'er is cool but I think a turbo BOV is one of the coolest sounds ever.
PSHHHHHH!

Btw, I 100% agree with the "you can't hear nitrous" crew. In all the times I have ever sprayed, I have never been able to hear it. Maybe you can hear an RPM increase, but you would hear that anyway you made that power. Plus, most people spray LS1's from 3000ish + .... so except for a tiny bit of first, he would be spraying you pretty much the entire race. I don't understand how you could "hear" an RPM increase if he is spraying you the entire time, since you would have no baseline rpm rev to compare the increased rpm rev to.
