there is a guy around my area that has a twin turbo 94-94 mustang. claims to have 600rwhp and ran a 10.1 @ 134mph. i would love to race him once my car is running right what do you guys think my odds are. just for reference he was out ran by a 98 TA with an auto, 4500 stall and a t-rex plus a "75" shot; from a roll i might add.

 

His claimed trap speed seems high to me...

I really don't see him running those times if that LS1 outgunned him on the highway.

 

Sounds like a bs'er to me.

That t-rex setup couldn't be putting down more than 500 RWHP (unless the "75" meant "150").

And if he lost to that, your chances should be pretty good.

Something isn't right here. Either he is confused about the car he ran against, or he is bsing, or he lies to people in order to get them to race him.

IF he actually has a well built twin turbo sn95 5.0, he'll probably win from a roll. From a dig it is always a drivers race.

 

no the car he ran against is just that a cam and nitrous set up. now how big of a shot it was is a different story. to some guys all nitrous pills are a 75 shot. he claims to have bought the car out of columbus OH. its just some stuff he says doesnt add up to me

 

Well, I'm just saying it's pretty hard to believe he'd get pulled on by a cammed + 75shot LS1. Unless he can't drive worth ****, which is even harder to believe from a roll.

That's why I said maybe he is lying about either his car or the death, depending on if he wants to race or not. Some people bait in order to set up races.

With a twin turbo 5.0, that number is stupidly easy to hit and maintain. Like I said, it all depends on if it's well built or not.
