Default Killed a turbo LS1

I ran a friend of mine today. We went from a dig twice. The first time he left the ASR on. Second time I put half a car on him. We both spun like crazy on our way up to around 120mph or so. He running about 7psi on a bone stock LS1. Turbo + LS1 = 1 bad muthafucka.

This is the same car from this post:

https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...ight=turbo+ls1

I could really careless that I won. I couldn't be more impressed with that car and it's always fun running a friend.

That is all...short and sweet.

Run it again w/a Camcorder, so we can see how unworthy we are.

I actually sprayed him. I had the 50 shot jets in BUT the bottle was at 500psi so I basically sprayed more fuel than N20 which would've richened me up (slowed me down). My boost-a-pump was cranked up too. A/F was probably fat as hell...maybe around 10.5:1 or so. It was dumb on my part to crack the bottle with it being cold. Ah well...it was still fun.

...and turbo is the only way to go IMO. They are awesome. Big hp/tq numbers with minimal boost and they perform at the track.

Very nice.
I want to do the next round of mods soon.
But i can't decide which way to go yet,I really like the driveability of the stock internal engine .
I just want more pull off the bottle ,and maybe something to replace the bottle all together-ie- BOOST.
Nice kill, Dan.

Wow, nice kill. What suspension mods do you have? I know a guy in town with an 03 going 11.3 at 127 with only gears and "camber plates??"...didn't know those cars could handle so much power.

Absolutely.
I don't know why people are so eager to have their cars (and plates) plastered all over the internet.

I wish I would have gone the turbo route instead of heads/cam .

Nice kill.

Even though you are cool and your car is awesome, I still dont like hearing about F-bodies losing to Mustangs. But life aint fair so I will have to get over it.

If I had to buy a new car today I hate to say it but it would probubly be a Cobra. The bang for the buck factor is definately in Fords camp now.

You'll have to forgive my lack of LS1 FI knowledge toxic. That boat has sailed for me. I believe it's a turbo tech kit? Does that sound right? I know the turbo is pretty tiny yet it still makes nice power.

Yep those shortblocks are really well built from the factory.. Forged rods, crank, etc.. 6 bolt mains and many other nice additions to make it one stout motor to handle 900 rwhp

Nice kill dan
