Truthfully, I can't remember where all information I had. But my neighbor at the time who had a 02 M3 gave most of it. It was really pretty close. And yeah, I laughed when I saw the 333 HP as well, but when I went to Hockenhiem raceway, I was not laughing. I could have slightly misquoted the time, cause it was like September or November of 03, so may have forgot a little bit. What I didn't forget was the fact it was pretty close. I know the Z06 did win in all contests, except price, but it by no means was a raping. That was my point.

 

WTF are y'all smokin' over here. It is not all that close to the ZO6. I had raced about 5 of them on the street and it was a rapin'!!!!.....one of those races where you can toy with the guy; let him gain some and then blow by at will. An M3 is a very nice car for what it is.....a GT cruiser with 4 seats. The ZO6 is what it is....and it kills the M3 in every performance category...and on the street.

 

The Z06 vs M3 is not even worth comparing in the performance category. The Z wins EASILY in EVERY performance aspect..... They are not in the same class. The M3 is a nice cruiser, the Z06 is a supercar.

There is no way an M3 can be compared to a z06. Where I live there is a lot exotic street racing, and let me tell you, M3's do not come close to hanging with a Z06. M3's should be compared to C5's as far as the quarter mile/street racing goes. My .02

 

Yeah, whoever thinks an m3 can hang with a z06 needs to pull their head out of their butt. M3s can "hang" with z28s in speed but of course are better in handling. The z06 will eat it for lunch in any performance test. 1/4 mile, skidpad, slalom, breaking, etc.

Oh yeah, have fun replacing your high strung 6 banger after 30k miles.

Super car = Carrera GT... not a plastic filled budget sports car.
