First Race And Kill! Yay!
Driving down the road from being at the mall buying some pants for homecoming, I come up to a Z28 driving. It was a newer red one with a taller than stock wing(not ricey but not stock either) and a different hood and all I could tell/hear was a different exhaust. I told him nice car and gave him a thumbs up and he nodded. We were both 2nd at a light and he asked me "what you got little buddy" and I just told him a stock 02 Trans Am WS6. We were cruisin at about 20 and i had just shifted into 2nd. I heard him kinda gun it and let off and when he did it again I gunned it also. From about 20 to 50 I had a 1/2 car on him and we shut down because of upcoming traffic. It was a great feeling having my first race againts and equally powered car and winning.

Not knocking on ya man......But that was a WAY to short of a run....Nice Z28 kill, but way to short......I have an 2000 WS6 and I have had her to 140 in 4th. They sing really nice, even with stock exhaust....But that is soon to change. Rumbler X from Texas-speed.com is coming in Jan for install in april
Along with some headers....
Nice run though....and for 16, you have a sweet ride, take care of her and she wont let you down.....

Seriously man. Good little run, but please be careful. Learn the car more before you go out racing. Your only 16 so you couldn't have had many fast cars like that one in your time. I'm sure you thinking , but just looking out for ya.

i never gave these cars enough respect when i had my white z28 back in highschool until i spun a 180 in the street making a turn when wet. ever since then i have never given any of my ls1's much gas when wet. they just dont like it. especially the one i have now. point being until you have lots of driving experience and seat time in these cars you cant just jump in and floor it.

Yea, f-body+rain= no fun. I lost my 92 Z28 because an 83 year-old man come into my lane and i couldn't do anything because it was wet. Brakes locked up, it didn't want to steer, so i hit him head on going 45 mph. Still scared of driving in the rain today.
The frist time i floored my 94 Z and the *** started coming around and i missed an on coming car by maybe 2 inches. Ever since then I don't get on it unless there's few to none cars or people around me. So keep it safe

Be careful Just when you think you have control you WILL lose it. I lost my leg and spent four month in the hospital recovering becuase of an accident. Not worth it. Keep it to the track.

Alright, i understand what all yall are saying about seat time and experience and i agree with you. But just to tell you where I am coming from my, this is my 2nd car, my first bein a 2002 Firebird v6, and I wrecked it goin around a turn in the rain but got it fixed. Ever since then i have known that rear-wheel drive cars do not get along with water very well. I have had to trans am for about 2 months and I am about 16 1/2. I was driving the v6 for over a year before I got the trans am so I learned on a decently fast car. Yes it was a short run because of upcoming traffic I did not want to risk anything.
