okay so me and my friend went to the races and a newer civic hatchback came up to my friend. Who was standing infront of my car and asked if he wanted to run, he also asked if it was the 3.8 liter v6 my friend said "WHAT"? he said yea it's a firebird right my friend said "YEA" so it a v6 right my friend said "sure why not". My friend called me over and the guy asked to race i said "okay" and got into my car. He then did a nice little burnout in his front wheel drive car. I started up mine and did a little burnout to heat the tires he then looked over at me like wtf was that. We get lined up and take immediatly i was atleast 2 cars in front and continued to slaughter him all the way to the end. After the race i asked him what he thought of my car and he said "DAMN THATS ONE FAST FIREBIRD". I said it is a formula and he told all his friends hey guys thats a formula not a firebird. Just goes to show you that most ricers know **** about cars just because it says firebird and doesn't have a ws6 hood it doesn't mean it is only a 6.

I love my formy.
Probably one of the best sleeper cars you can (could) buy. It was even better before I got the chokemaster muffler, then again, now some people think I'm just a stupid ricer who put dual outlets on a v6, just like every other F-body here in Morgantown. I've saw at least 30 seperate F-bodies here, and only 6 or so other LS1s, a couple Z28s, 1 SS, a few T/As and 1 WS6. But probably 20 of the v6 cars have 3" dual tips sticking out... sad

I've left a ton of people with those looks on their faces.

 

Get a cutout and then you will not be mistaken for a six as long as you drive with it open all the time.

edit: well full exhaust will help too but for cheap fixes a cutout works pretty well and sounds pretty nice

Oh man. Good story man. i wish I could say the same. One night I was at the runs, and most of the heads there are imports. but time to time you'll see a really nice camaro or bird. Anyhow, I was sittin in my bird, watchin the tegs and civics hit the strip when a guy comes out yelling, " Eh, bring out the bird , bring out the bird! " I was all, ****... most of them don't know it's a V6. So I'm sitting there, not knowing what to do, cause most of the cars there were pretty tuned, ( GSRs, Boosted Hatches ) easily taken by them. I ended up just kickin back.. err how much I wish I had an 8 to show them what's up. I love your formula man, I have the same exact paint, NBM.

 

i have the opposite problem, i only get fellow ls1s that want to race. the ricers are too scared.

I seem to recall another sneaky blue Formula on this site. It is a little more viscious than most sleepers however.

formulas are the best wish I still had mine good kill though. Dont worry everyone else will think that is a v-6 by the looks till they hear it.

Yea the formula's are nice and I love my car but the way it looks and before I had my cutout, people would put there hands to their ear and be like I cant hear you.I dont give a f**k if you can hear me you still got smoked. I definetly need to get some lt's and a nice cam.
