btw, he wasn't under the car because anything broke, just unhooking the exhaust.....and if you've never broken anything at the track, you don't race very hard

all this talk about everyone else, what do you drive jdustu? there are a couple of guys around here that have srt's and they drive around sneezing at everything that has four wheels. they tend to be like mustang drivers. as far as cheap, srt's are!!! period. nuff said. the interiors are cheap and i have a friend who went from a gm dealership as a tech to a dodge cause he said he wanted to make for damn sure he had a good paycheck each week and that as long as there were dodge vehicles on the road he would have a job. and as far as gm's breaking down, my car has 140,000 miles on it and has only had clutch and water pump replaced due to failure. NO MAJOR PROBLEMS with it and with that many miles still runs 12.80's without flipping that little switch in the glove box. and yes there will always be someone faster than me but it wont be in an srt-4.

Well, i would have to say i was not exspecting that i didnt mean to start a bunch of fighting or anything. I was just kinda up set about the little neon beat me, and no he did not pull me out of the start i had him pretty good until my cars a$$ started to ripp to to the right, i guess i need to learn how to feather the throttle, maby some tires will help, we'll see!!!!

Got to roll out on radials in our cars, and run down FWD or AWD cars.
I've seen a bonestock SRT Neon go 13.8 with a very good driver.
Heck my daily driver 05 TL M6 is supposedly good for 14.2@98mph.

I have owned both (sold the srt4 but sill have two lt1's). They are very very quick cars if you drive them right, I never lost to a mustang lightly modded or a basically stock LT1. If the guy knows how to drive the car and can powershift it will be close. On street tires it ran the same times as my WS6 but trapped higher.
Oh yea forgot to add that my SRT4 bone stock put down 227 h.p. and 240 trq. With a little spray on the Intercooler since it was over 100degrees out it put down 260h.p. and 301 trq with no other mods. So with this cool weather it really helps those cars

Guys.. I have a 99LS1 with a good slew of mods all I got to say it takes quite a bit less $$ to mod those SRT-4s to go up and beyond LT1s and LS1s I'm afraid to say.. Check out a vid of my buddy who posted earlier 04blackSRt-4 who I'm sure would hand a good majority of ya'll your asses.
