Hey all, im a huge fan of the f-bodies and im considering buying a 97z28. Now i know all of you seem to hate the SRT-4 which you all call a skittle, but you cant deny that the car is fast for a under 20,000 car (the 2003 model) my brother has an 03 and hes ran 13.8 stock at 101mph you cant call that slow for bone stock and then price. I know the Srt-4 will take out any year lt1 bone stock (except the SS) and and be somewhat close to an ls1 (ls1 will take it but it will be good race atleast until the 5.7 v8 top end kicks in ;p ) i know all of you are going to probably reply to this saying its bs and a lie but you cant say for a little 2.4 with a turbo the thing has great topend at 153mph (one person has hit 155stock that ive seen in a video) like i said im a huge fan of the camaros and any f-body but considering that this car can become very fast for few cheap mods i know its a better car then an lt1 in performance. i just cant afford a ls1 so ya, until then ill get an lt1 and hope it was a good decision.

 

in my opinion, you should really just save for a little bit longer and wait to get the ls1.
it is a much better car in every category. i believe that most people here will agree with me on this one.
