Default 2 Mustang Kills

The First one was: I was headed on the otherside of town, kinda joy riding and on my way to Taco bell, I got my tacos and was headed back home. Right when i was about to turn onto the street from Taco Bell I see a Black 96-98 GT vert Mustang with some 30 year old guy. I wasnt sure if he would race me, But i wanted to see so I sped up to him and got along side him, He kinda looked at me and kept going. I give it some gas to see if he would react and sure enough he gave it some gas too. I just kinda looked at him waiting for him to make a move so we are both at about 35 or 40 mph and I give him the thumbs up and I give it some gas again and he punches it to and we are off. Id say we where about head to head around 50 or so with me pulling, Im at about 80 and hes about 2 or so cars back and I get up to 105 and hes about 4 or 5 cars back and theres a stop light so I make a left and so does he. We get down to the Light and hes like nice race, what do you have done, i told him im pretty much stock besides lid and filter. He had an exhaust and that was it. pretty fun race
Race 2: I was headed home during the day around 3pm when the high schools got out and There was a V6 97 Mustang with some High school punk (wasnt sure if he knew I had a V8 or was just stupid) he had some nice 17inch chrome rims with some side stripes. Traffics pretty heavy so I dont try and run him till we end up getting a light and the speed changes from 35 to 45, well theres 1 car in front of me in the left lane and a car infront of him on the right. the light turns green and the car infront of mes alittle faster then the 1 on the right so he moves into my lane right behind me and I was able to get past the car and he followed suit. We finally got some open road and he punches it and I did the same, I gave him a head start kinda wondering why this kids going to race a V8 when im sure all he has is intake and exhaust so i step on the gas WOT and right past him, like he wasnt even moving. I must have been 9 cars infront i looked down and i was about 110. traffic starts to get bad again so I slow down to the speed limit and by that time he catches up and is right along side me again and just looks at my car and drives off. I wouldnt really call that a race, but I had to put that v6 stang in his place.

I always wonder whether or not I should race those guy like that (ie your V6 stang guy). I am afraid that if you do, in fact, race him then he may think... "wow if I can get a WS6 to race me, then I must be acceptable competition". Which is definitly not the case.... You know what I mean?

But then again, you could blow their doors off like you did and prove a point that way too.

BTW, I like that pic in your sig. Those clouds look scarey...

I was just going to comment on that... that pic is very cool. Do you have any higher-resolution versions of the picture?

why waste the gas on V6? or even the 94-98 GT's at all? They have potential, but 99% they are so slow...

anyway nice runs though. the more I read just goes to show that a 6 year old car can still hold its own against almost anything on the street, which is awesome cause I have one too. hehee

Yeah its amazing the performance of these cars for their time. Ive got an 11 year old car. doesnt touch any of the ls1's obviously. But I can still hold my own against most of whats out on the streets! I'd have an ls1 if i could've afforded it. But I'm in college. Money's abit of an issue, so I got an lt1 b/c im in love with f-bodies! anyways sorry bout that. nice kills bud. And I also love that picture in your sig!

The pic on my sig isnt my car, its 1 off of thunder racing, I love the way it looks, They have a larger one, Ive been trying to put my cars pic on there, but Im not sure how to put it on here. Anyone know How i can put A pic on my Sig from my computer and not a URL address??

I dont get a chance to run cars worth racing (03 Cobras, C5 vetts, other LT1/LS1 F-bodys) There are some newer 4.6L Stangs and other older ones (like I raced) and just ricers. Plus these 2 races will probably be my last cause its about to snow here.

Generally in my area I get the same thing. The only time worthy competition wants a race, traffic's too heavy or the conditions of the road/area are dangerous to both of us.

I don't understand, your claim to fame is racing an old GT and a V6????????????????
That's like a heavy weight boxer bragging about knocking out a jr. weight.
Why not try that with an 04 Cobra. I would love to hear your story then.

It was just a racing story. He didnt make it out to be bragging, just a couple of fun runs.
