I raced my 00z28 on the highway against a neon srt-4 and i was impressed on how quick it was. He took off quick on me from like a 55 mph roll he got about a car legnth ahead but i think he was juicing (my z28 completly stock) then i passed him at about 125 mph and was pulling from him from that point so im pretty sure he as juicing from the takeoff.Also my z28 is an a4 it seems that it takes a long time to react when u punch it.I am not sure what mods the srt-4 had but it seemed pretty quick compared to alot of other ricer cars.

he may not have been juicing. The new model will run 13.8 stock. So, with him getting on it first, you don't have time to react in the auto, that's why he pulled on you.

Nice kill, but if he had sprayed on you he wouldn't have had that hard or a time keeping that lead on you.

 

What he said, he wasn't spraying. If he was, he would've walked away from you and you would've never caught him. My buddy is spraying a 100 shot (in 2nd gear) on his SRT and traps 114ish. Stock SRTs have trapped as high as 103. You give him the jump, and it'll be a little while till you reel him in.....

Nice kill. Auto's are no match for manauls from highway races. Good run anyways.

 

Can't say i agree with that opinion,my SS4000 stall does just fine on the highway .
3:23 gears and big stall works real nice on a highway run.

Congrats on your kill. I think it would have been ugly for you IF he was spraying that little SRT4.

so i guess he was'nt sprayingbut it was the reaction time that gave him a good jump.I think he might of had some bolt on mod and catback cuz i can hear them and he had someone else in the car with him.When i caught up i passed him pretty easy and pulled ahead about a car and 1/2 we raced 4 times on the first i started a honk early and we took off about the same but he still pulled on me.I need to mod my ls1 but i been busy fixing my92 240sx thinking of ka-turbo then it would run with ls1's to

 

He was stock man. Stock Srt's just die out at 125-130ish.

1 = Some traction
2,3 = quick
4,5 = Slow

 

FYI also, SRTs come with no muffler from the factory.... Just 1 cat and 2 resonators......
