Default C6....hahaha

This Weekend my buddy and i choose to drive down to Huntington Beach To cruise down PCH and Maybe have some fun with some exotics.

Crusing down the coast we run a Le Mans Blue C6 Corvette M6 with the Z51 Package. We pull up to a stop light and talk to the Guy he's Got the Vortex Rammer and LG Longtubes. As soon as the light turn green we start to roll out of the intersection at around 30 the 3 of us punch it my buddy in the ZO6 is gone (470 rwhp H/C) i'm right next to the C6 by 3rd i'm about 1/2 a car ahead halfway trough 4th i've got him by 2 cars. I'm not all that inpressed.

I hve the sam mods as the guy intake and headers, a full 80 lb system, my 240lb *** a 120lb girl, and a heavier car in general and i still pulled the guy top end.

Anyways it's time to go 408 with a Solid roller to get ready for the new ZO6

I prefer a C5 Z06 over a C6 any day.
The last remaining Lemans Edition C5 Z06 just was given away at a local dealer for $47K brand new. Whomever bought it, practically stole it. Lucky bastard!

Nice Kill! Anything can happen on the street. I once raced and smoked a Z06 from 50-120mph when I was making 340-350rwhp. Turned out the older guy driving it didn't know he could rev past 5200rpms safely. I told him to ring that bitch out to 65000rpms and he would have eaten me up. In theory the C6 should have smacked you down.

... yeah, the C6 should've ripped him apart. I would be more disappointed in the driver then the car, as you stated earlier. Being "disappointed" in the car just because you barely won a single race against a single driver in a single car either shows ignorance or stupidity. I have raced two or three of them and he should have outran you without much of a problem.

He's lighter, has more power, is more aerodynamic ... so, what is your secret weapon you believed allowed you to win this race, besides maybe a sucky driver?

Of course, anything can happen on the street, cars only as good as it's driver, etc etc etc .... but if I were you I wouldn't be pulling up next to every C6 I see, and think it will be the same outcome, however.

i Dynoed 340 rwh 351 Tq Before the Longtubes,
So i figure somewhere around 355rwhp 365tq to be conservative.

My Friends Z06 H/C combo are WCCH stage 3 Heads (2.08 intake 1.6 ex) ~325 cfm @ .625 lift. Full boltons, fast 90, G5x3 Cam its'a 470 rwhp 430Tq

We raced from a roll a few times he would pull slightly in 3rd but at the 3-4 shift i would pull him and we were pretty even to about 150.

My guess was bad traction on his part at first (i'm running 305 Nitto 555DR's)

From what I hear C6's only put down 325-330 stock and 350-360 w/ headers and exhaust. So it shoud have been a drivers race at that point. Hell, before I put the headers on my car and had 323 to the wheels I pulled 1/2 a length on a stock auto C6. Nice kill, I miss driving the PCH...
