Hey Unit,
I am in no way trying to be a smartass in this post, but I realized I really don't know much about you. Are you in Pro drag racing or something like that where you drive fast cars all the time? If so, then I can understand why you think 11-12 sec. cars are "slow". I know you have a badass Cobra too which also will make you think that. But my question is, do you think 11-12 sec. cars on the STREET or at the TRACK are slow? Because if it is only at the track i can see where you are coming from. But if it is on the street, I would love to live where you do if there are 9 sec. cars running around all over the place.

hmmm, this is interesting. i see where unit is coming from but i look at it just a little different. if the car is set up to drag race with weight reduction ,slicks, no interior, ect, and you pull it to and from the track on a trailer and it only runs 13's, 12's or even high 11's. Then it IS slow. But if it is a daily driver ,full weight, same wheels and tires you drove to the track on and it runs 10's or 11's then i would say that car is fast.Hell when you can go to the track and run that fast then leave and go on a 4 hr trip with the ac wide open, you deserve some respect.

Hey Unit,
Not all of us have best friends like Dan. And I don't think your being representative of how a mod should act. But hey that's just my opinion

All I am saying is that a 10 or 11 second street car feels slow TO ME. That includes my own car. I don't understand how people can get upset over that.

Unit,
You have me rolling on the floor. I say let them have it. If they don't want to hear what other people think of as being slow then some of these self proclaimed fast cars drivers better find that Address line in the browser. Every time I stick my head in the Street Racing & Kill Stories board I think to my self "Oh god why am I going in here". All I ever see are...I out ran a honda, neon, wrx bla bla bla but they are good for a laugh most of the time. What ever happened to all the I killed a viper, lambo, 911 ect go? If you guys build your cars, go kick the **** out of cars in your range and not these want to be fast 60k go karts.

I liked the way they went after the "no life" thing. Hell if you can pay for all your toys and are able to help people out on the net then you must be doing ok. Not that you need my blessing or anything.

I bet that after reading this they pick on me for not having a 4th gen or they can call my Stealth TT a heavy pig. I better go hide!

Ok back to what ever this post was about....Oh I remember the skittle race!

my motor will make roughly around 600 rwhp through a decent converter...

and you know what, i will be happy, but in no way shape or form happy with that power...

hence the reason i am looking into maybe picking up a new block and creating a 370 cubic inch stroker... getting a new crank, etc...

Exactly...it's never enough. I get a KB and I'm already talking about how much nitrous I want to dump in it. Now I'm wishing I went with a T-76 initially.

Maybe only a certain percentage of us are addicted like that.

yep...

i just find it when i am turning wrenches on cars with 100+ mm turbos on them..

driving a 600 hp street car will never be enough..

and then it is worse when i have guys i know running high 4's in the 1/8th on DR's... (also shows that the MT drag radials work... almost went the whole 1/8th mile on the back tires while running a low to mid 5.XX pass

BRB I need to change my pants! Those cars are awesome!! I have a very bad feeling that my car addiction is headed in that direction. I can see it now...10 years down the road I will be sitting on a couch talking to my marriage counselor. "Well it all started with my first car. It was a sun burnt blue 82 Z28 with a transplanted vette engine." After all my answer to the "When will you be happy with one of your cars" question was "When I am afraid to drive it". When I said that everyone around me was
