LS1 has a loudmouth, and a bunch of free mods.
My car isn't tuned at all, haven't had a chance to datalog and burn a chip.
I think I am putting down about 150hp to the wheels. I did put a T5 and some 3.73 gears in the car.
And the nos plate isn't on the car anymore, the lines ran under the TPI Plenum but won't work under the HSR.

If your putting down 150 to the ground, seems like thats about half of what you'd need to play. Is that T/A A4 or M6? what kind of tires do both of you have?

So seriously now, I'm feeling dumb. What's the secret? What's the in-joke? How did a 305 without nitrous or forced induction beat an LS1 TA? Did he find the world's only mid-15 second LS1? Does his car weigh 1700lbs? Are those really nitrous lines and he's being sarcastic about them?

I'm not convinced that it's not a 3.8 V6 Firebird in that picture. It's hard to tell by the angle if that is a TA, Formula or regular firebird.
But we all know that one of three things has to be true,
1) You beat a V6.
2) You beat a car with major mechanical and or driver issues.
3) You sprayed/have major mods your not disclosing.
on the victory but to the way you presented it

Well, the LS1 is in tip top shape. He was keeping up with most of the Supras there too.
I have Nitto 555RII's on all 4 corners, 275/40/17
I am not from Texas
My car weighed in at 3400 with the A4 but I think I may have dropped 20-40lbs going with the T5.
I think the hood really helps since it allows more air to come into the engine bay.

what the hell is this supposed to be some riddle thread? This is stupid. If you have only what you say, and that was an LS1, you didn't beat it. So somewhere along the line theere is something unspoken or untrue. Lets have it out, and quit the mystery crap.

LS1 couldn't get traction
Actually, this isn't way out of the relm of possibility.
I watched a bone stock bottom end 305 with $700 heads and an $80 cam put down 315 RWHP. Short block had never been out of the car, had heads, cam, exhaust, etc done, but nothing major, not even $1500 total invested in a $500 car. It did have raised compression from the heads though, and could only run on 93 octane, but since LS1's do too it really isn't much of a point.
This COULD happen with a bad driver and lots of mods (which he obviously has).

Good kill but Im pulling the flag on the statement that you not running nitrious.I Believe I can see the the lines being plummed off the fuel rail from your first photo.Just because it aint the eye sore red or blue fittings does mean we wont see it.... Then again I could be wrong, and if so I apoligize for doubting you.I still think you sprayed it and did a good job of hiding your nitrious system.

Your boltons giving you an extra 120rwhp or so???
The last time I raced some 305s, they were pulling consistant 15.4s...
Color me still confused.

If you look closely you can tell that it'sa V6 bird. Check out the Spoiler. That's no TA spoiler on the hatch. It's flush like a V6 firebird or Formula.. Nice try though bud..
