Hey guys in a lot of the posts about street racing I read about people putting their hazards on and how disrepectful it is. What is the deal with the hazards?

Back in the day, like out on Rankin and places like that, the winner of the race would flash their hazards to let the people know at the starting line who won. Lots of times there was money on the race too. It also was kind of showing off. When you're just out racing and line em up for the hell of it, it's considered disrespectful to flash your hazards when you win. Some jackass in an 01 Cobra did that to me last weekend when I was in my Saleen. Took him 3 races to be able to do it, but he did it anyways. That's ok though, my buddy was in his 02 Z, and showed him what's up.

Back in the day(early 80's) when I street raced and won I would drive back into the parking lot beeping the horn with my index finger in the air, Talk about disrespectful I can't beleive I never got into a fight <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
But I won alot more than I lost.

Round here, if somebody has been runnin' their mouth about how fast his car is, the he proceeds to get his *** handed to him, he gets flashed and everybody sees it and laughs at his ***. Basically, it's a bitch slap of sorts.
