Default ls1 vs. lt1

what do you think would win in the quarter mile? a 1996 m6 formula w/ 4.10's, headers (full exhaust),roller rockers, sub frames, short throw, tb bypass, and air intake. or a 1999 z28 m6 w/ spec stage 2 clutch, flowtech cutout (stock exhaust manifold), air intake, stock gears, and short throw.

I don't know it might be close depending on drivers. That LT1 sounds kinda mean.

I'd put my money on the LT1 if both cars are in tip top shape. It won't be by much but the LT1 will have roughly the same power to the ground, plus 4.10s. I'm guessing LT1 by two cars tops until 110. After that I bet the LS1 will pull.

Depends on shape of car and driver, but I'd say the LT1 if it can hook up.

I couldn't have said it better myself. I see so many non-ls1 cars getting hated on so bad on this site sometimes. Some people are just oblivious to the fact that there are cars out there other than LS1 F-bodies and Vettes that are respectable.

I've always wanted an LS1 Trans Am, so I bought one. I love F-bodies, but I'm a car enthusiast so I appreciate anything that is done right. If I find a car that is tastefully modded, looks good, is fast, etc I don't care what it is I will give you props because like I said I'm a car enthusiast not an F-body **** like some people on this site.
