the GTO weighs more like 3800 lbs..
I saw a 2005 with 1500 miles, auto, stock, with two people in it run 13.35 @106 at a local track...

I am impressed...I have a 2004, and wondered if a 2005 would really be quicker, I guess they are! about .3-.5 quicker it appears.

I also have a seriously modded 2000 Camar....that car is a piece of **** compared to the GTO in terms of comfort, quietness, etc. THere is absolutely no comparison in terms of daily driver comfort and quality build/materials...the GTO wins hands down.

Where in Cali are you? I am in Folsom (Sacramento area). I will race your GTO if your in the area. I have a 2000 WS6 A4 with a 221/223 112 cam, mac headers (running though cats and a stock cat back), 2800 vig converter and a LS1 edit tune on near bald stock rear tires.

I hardly ever get the chance to race, so it would be cool to see what our cars would do for fun.
i'm in antioch what times are you running??, i have a cousin that lives in sactown, next time i'm out that way i'll hit you up. i'm always looking to race win or loose, i gotta run em

Nice vid! I love our GTO, but I really love the '05s. In the 3rd race, when that Goat hit 2nd gear, it really hauled some ***. I've had a M6 GTO, A4 GTO, and a '02 M6 WS6 and the GTO is definately the best car all around. I can't imagine what an '05 GTO is like!

the weight really hurts the gto, as for that race the gto was walking away from that ta. it would be nice to see what the gto would do to that ta from a 20mph roll

I'm in cali.I live in Santa Clarita Valley near LA.Almost got to race a new goat but he got on the freeway w/ traffic.I have a 99 T/A A4 w/ hooker catback, lid, and a Tc.When my car was bone stock I beat a 04 gto by .5 second. So I think that it would be a pretty close race with a 05 stock vs when mine was rock stock (jmo)Ever down by Lacr or Cali speedway or Famouso I would love to race a 05 gto and see how I would do!I think with the few mods I have I would take an 05,but there's only one way to find out,and I'm looking for that chance. Win or lose, looking to have some fun!
