Sorta similar to how LT1's have the low end and get the lead till about the 1/8 mile.

This automatic went 12.92 @ 106.5 a few weeks ago at an NMRA event with a cold air intake, chip, and pulleys...

I think when the weather warms up and more '05 GT's get ET's we'll see that these cars are almost as fast as LS1 F-bodies. The early numbers they're putting down are a few tenths slower then your average stock LS1 ET. The problem these things have is the "drive by wire" throttle that has a very conservative program for drivetrain safety. It's like torque management. With a chip the '05's are pulling a lot harder. Plus the auto is a 5-speed auto with more gear down low then the old 4R70W 4-speed auto. I'd think an auto GT would be almost as fast as an A4/2.73 LS1. They're dynoing about 250rwhp but weigh less then F-bodies and have better gearing.

His car is brandnew i mean like no miles. My Trans Am WS6 has 31,000 miles on it. Im wondering with both of them being automatics what will the end results be if we race off the line? Just looking for some pointers. I have never lost a race and would like it to stay that way for a while.
Jeez is this guy ever going to stop polluting the forums?
