Since I've got my truck I haven't really had a close race with a truck, so I dedide to race this guy at work who has a new model civic. I start talking to him and find out he's got an Acura motor swap and five-speed that cost $5000 to get done. About this time I figure I might have my hands full with this one but decide to go for it anyway. So after work we head out and one of our buddies flags for us. I punch it off the line and burn the 235's so bad I have to let off and hit it again, all the while pulling on him. Finally I hook and end up beating him by 4-5 car lengths before I let off. Of course he missed third, but somehow I never even shifted that high before calling it quits.

P.S. Another co-worker in a V6 stang pulled this guy by a fender. This civic is horribly slow for all the money he spent to make it fast.

$5000 in mods and still couldn't pull a V-6 Stang <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I hate when people I smoke have bs excuses as to why I just spanked that ***. I would rather say that we didn't even race than to listen to the horseshit, especially the he said she said **** the following days. You lost, deal with it. im guessin the civic was an ek (96-00) model, and im guessin the acura engine was a b18c1(integra gsr) which runs mid to high 14's consistently. silverados DO NOT run 14's stock. ur full of ****. i have a hatchback with this setup and i dont even waste my time or gas on slow *** trucks, which are really meant to haul trailers not to race. BTW my friend has a V6 stang and he took it to the track which ran a best of 16.1 (he is also a good driver). That **** is not even believable.

 

nowhere in there did it say he was still stock. and he also said the civic missed 3rd.

First off no way this guys piece of **** civic can run even in the 15's. Ive got nothin but exhaust on a stock 5.3 and still smoked him. I seriously didn't think Id beat him by much if any. I talked to one of my friends at school who knows **** about imports and he said this guy wasted his money, he said the setup the civic has is just like an Integra LS. I wanted to get it on video but he won't race again. I wouldnt believe it either without some proof. Oh and by the way I tried to get this guy to race my buddies ext. cab 4x4 HD and he said no because it would look bad if he lost.
