just dont rost the tires off the line, your gonna spin there is no stopping that, slip the clutch comming off the line to try and assure you dont break traction to bad and when the car straightens out enough give it all you got, rip second and at this point your broter is already very scared, 3rd hes crying, 4th hes given up and has turned around to go home crawl into a dark hole and wish he had a LS1.

you ls1 ***** are so hardheaded, thinking your car is god, ive got news for you , my bro is 15, and doesnt even have his license, never raced in his life, told me he was dumping it at 3G's and said he was hooking really good, he doesnt know **** about street racing, that 14.0 was my first time on the track , but my car runs better on the street, i WILL smoke his ***, cause he cant drive, i give him props on conning my dad to get him an ls1, but he needs to come down to earth, and realize that ls1s are not god, i mean **** ive beat C5s, on the street before, and no it didnt miss a gear, we will let you know the results, after this happens, thanks.......im out

Oh, I had a real healthy Fox-body LX hatch give me a hard time once. Neither he nor I were walking away from one another.

But I haven't come across a single SN-platform Mustang that I haven't thoroughly raped, 'cept for that '03 Cobra who wasn't in the mood to play. And I've made no bones about the fact that I'm still coming to terms with my M6...

Waste of money for my truck??? I bought a truck to have a truck.... I use it to carry around my yardwork and DJ equiptment. If I wanted to go around beating stock GT's, I would have opted for an LS1 F-body.

My first time at the track, on my 3rd run I let my friend ride along- I happened to be racing an 01 GT 5-speed in my then-stock Z. At the finish, my buddy said I had 4 or 5 lengths on him... The conditions were pretty good and I drove it like I stole it! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> I practically DID steal it, since it was brand new and the owner was QUITE apprehensive about me driving. He thought I'd kill it. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> After that, he ran it hard too and ran 13.'s regularly. The biggest problem with 4.6SOHC's happens to be the drivers. Most of these guys are afraid to let it loose. In an LS1 car, it builds power so quickly that you don't even think about hurting it. You just keep going.If you don't get a Mustang up in the top of the rpm range, it's not gonna perform it's best at all.

Think like this... Some guys take their LS1's to the track and run 13.60's... The average guy runs 13.30's or so. Then you have those hardcore guys who act like they just don't care what breaks... They run closer to 13.0's! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> Mustang drivers are the same way in general. I've seen a new GT run 13.71@99mph.... NUTCASE behind the wheel! He TRIED to break it. The biggest KEY to driving those seems to be the launch though. It's got to be just right.
