Re: LS1 vs BMW M5
My co-worker is trading his blue 2000? M5 in on a Benz S500. The M5 was the FIRST in the US. It was at the Philly car show. He saw it and placed an order. 2 weeks later the salesman called and said that their dealership won the lottery for that show car. Since he was the first to place an order at the show, he got first dibs.
A truely beautiful peice of machinery. He did have quite a few problems when he first got it, but they made good on everything. He put about 45k miles on it.
We did a quick race one day, although VERY fast for a 4door, he couldn't hang with the LS6 TA.
Wish I had the $30K needed for the buyout.

Re: LS1 vs BMW M5
Being in the BMW capitol of the world (Seattle area, Microsoft) I see M5's all the time. Every now and again I get an unsuspecting M5 owner to bite the hook. I can easily trounce one without to much effort. But it is a little odd seeing a 4 door run with you for a second. Killer cars though. Wish I had 75K laying around for a slightly USED one <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />
