Re: silly little SS camaro thought he had a chance!! vtstang- thats odd,my uncle lives there and my girlfriend go's to tech so ive spent a lot of time up there in the last 2 years, but i hardly ever see any ls1.i see sport compacts ever where.thats pretty common on collage campuses though.ive never taken my ss up there(sunny day,play car).down here i have seen quite a few little high schoolers in lt1s ,but not to many in ls1s.you are right about the stangs though a lot of them rolling around.thats cool your down to race 4 fun and that you respect all fast cars.i get sick of hearing people talk **** about ricers.granted they arent as fast off the lot nor can they be made as fast but its still a style with other ups. for 1 better gas mileage, cheaper,not to mention a lot of cats espeically younger ones cant afford to insure v-8 jus to name a few reasons.i will tell you one thing though,and thats where the custom scene and apperance is at right now.at least the ones that do it right.(not to many around here). it seems that most v-8 owners jus modify there motors and dont to to much looks wise.in this game to me being diffent is what its all about and if your v-8 runs 9sec. but looks jus like every other one on the road then it wont turn to many heads unless your hitting it of coarse.i like a little bit of both go and show. i have respect and love for all types of styles v-8s,imports,lifted trucks,lowriders,minitrucks,etc.if its done right no half *** bullshit or tacky crap like chrome fender trim,f**ked up body work etc.anyway that would be cool to catch up maybe race sometime <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> WE ARE ALL CAR, TRUCK PEOPLE WE SHOULD NOT BE HATE N ON EACH OTHER BUT THE PEOPLE LIKE COPS <img border="0" alt="[rainbow]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_rainbow.gif" /> AND OTHERS THAT WANT TO END AND MAKE IT HARD ON OUR SPORT. A nice set of rims and some lower springs is mostly all it takes to make an F-body look great. Definately can't say that about a Civic. (My opinion of course...)
As far as being unique or different... how different REALLY are all the ricer cars?? They still pretty much ALL do the same BS to their cars. They pretty much ALL have a ridiculous wing on the back (that serves no purpose) that's the size of a damn park bench, they have some gawdy body kit that has scoops and vents all over it that mostly do NOTHING and topped off with some horrendous neon paint job followed by more graphics/stickers than you can shake a stick at.
All of the which is even more ridiculous because all their styling "cues" are taken from REAL race cars like LeMans, GT etc. where such things as a wing on the back help stabilize the vehicle at 200+ mph, the scoops actually vent air to the brakes and the "stickers" are on the car because these companies actually sponsor and pay for the car.
Form without function is <img border="0" alt="[rainbow]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_rainbow.gif" /> and stupid.
How unique is it when there are more eyesore "riced out" cars on the road than WS6 TA's?
