I really do not kow to much about the eclipse, although I think he makes around 600hp without nitrous.

I'm just curious. Why should he race the ls1 again? He didn't pay the first time. If I were him, I'll get paid first before I run him again.

Why should he race him again? I would think pride would be enough even without the smack talk value. Then there's always the added perk of kicking the dog when it's down.

Beat someone at the track and there is no room to whine right? The only options at the track are the car couldn't cut it or the driver flat out sucks?

Definitely do the rematch at HRP. When the Trans Am hooks at the track on ET Drags its going to be bye bye Eclipse! This is one I'd really like to see.

I would like to see the rematch... put full slicks on the eclipse and get the nitrous to work. I think we would see the same end result.... LS1 getting owned by some Jap Crap

25piss---You're a tool....It sounds like you know so much about it like you were the one driving. Seems to me you know about as much as every other person on here about this race, no more no less. It also seems that you think you know enough to make all the calls on this. This guy has this and this guy only has this. My word with as much **** as you claim to knowabout each car you must have been the one to build both those cars. Let me just give you a thumbs up you brick.

"What the hell are you talking about. Your completely off of the subject. A 911 can miss a gear and pull an ls1. So whats your point? "

Not really , a 911 is a mid-low 13 second car just like a LS1. If your talking about the TT models ,then yeah. As for the race ,the guy in the TA should pay up and then go double ot nothing at the track.

I don't see what the problem was. It was a good race. The f-body lost. Pay up. Plain and simple. Both cars had traction problems. There's no way to get around that on the street with that much power. The outcome might be different at a track, but that doesn't change the result of this particular race.

1st , nice done guys and congrate EOS guys

2nd , after watching video 5 times i think it was one of the fastest street racing i've ever seen

But the T/A was hard to manage more than the Eclipse even w/600 HP

Because the T/A was spining sooo hard and i know the Eclipse also , but it's AWD...

3rd , seems like the Eclipse was a drag car and the T/A still a street car so it's not (EQUAL RACE)..sorry

4th , Next time take both cars to the track another story will happened....

In the end , that was the greatest street racing ...for me

As far as the car being a trailor queen..... We Drove it down to South Padre Island convention center this weekend for a appearence at the SPI DSM meet this weekend. I thinks thats how many miles ?
As far as the weight of this vehicle ... 3032 with the driver in it . As far as ducking any races ..... Did not happen.
We have only been working on this car for a couple of monthes now.
As far as what the TA had for a motor & all that crap ..... WHO CARES .... They called us out & we finally had the time to go out & play (we are very busy) So we bring the car out .
Chris wasn't even worried about the race . They called us out & we brought the pain. I'm still wondering why we are even considering raceing these jokers again since they did not pay up the first time.I sure hope they have a fast car .
The race you saw on video was pretty messed up ... Hell the No2 did not even come on ! Yes thats our fault ... But imagine if the car would have left the line with the Turbo spooled !!!
Take a good look at the picture at the end of the video . They had better have a 700 shot or something .
The pain is coming !

Damn, you guys are running NO2. Care to explain how that works? My N2O works like a charm.

The point I was trying to make is that, you spend 20+ thousand dollars on a so called stroker kit plus gas and still get walked by a lower displacement motor. Who cares if it were a turbo car or not. Don't race if your going to whine about the ****.

You just to continue to prove you are a tool, I swear if you came down here and ran your mouth, you would just get knocked out and then we would discuss stuff after you came to your senses.

First off, I have friends with seriously fast DSM's, One by the name of Azalin, or also known as NOSlaser on many of the DSM boards on the net, and have had lengthy conversations about the cost of building one of these cars, and it is no cheaper then a serious ls1 or any other build up for the matter. If you question he legiability, he had the fastest 16g car in the country(on and off the juice) from what I understand.

Secondly, anything goes on the street. Video camera's don't mean ****! Its really easy to edit a video to make things look a lot different. I am not saying this happened, but I am saying it is not out of the question.

And finally, do the rematch at the track, with equal track prep, etc..I think the DSM may still win, although I think the ls1 will make a better race out of it.

So your telling me it takes around 20,000 dollars to make a dsm run 9's. Troll please. You can easily make one run into the nines with under 12,000.

With the same setup that I'm running on my 3sgte, I should be able to hit deep into the 10's without spending 12,000.

Why is the title of this thread "Tchargers vs MTI" ??? The TA in the video appears to have spun like a bitch and lost.... As for a shop all out drag car vs. a street driven car, if that was the bet then I agree money should be paid. If the Title of this thread is correct then a match at the track between any of MTI's real drag cars would be sure to turn some heads....

A good friend of mine has a high 10 second Talon and he didnt spend over $10,000. But in my personal opinion ,I dont care much for a car going fast for cheap. I bought an LS1 knowing its going to cost me alot of money to make it go fast and with enough money I can probally be one of the fastest car on the street here in So Cal(aka an ARE 436 with a DP). If I wanted to go fast cheap ,I honestly would have bought a $500 92 Civic and put a b18 in it with a t3/t4 turbo.

Also, for the outside, novice individual to by a dsm and pay labor plus parts to build a serious DSM as described, it will cost more the 12,000 for sure. That is another thing to consider. Most of the ls1 guys are buying a 422(crate motor) which is built ready to drop in or even sending their cars to MTI, unlike most fast DSM's which are shop cars, so labor is not included in the build up price for the DSM.

If anyone is the troll, it is you my friend. You come into a domestic board, bragging about rice that most on here, including myself could give two ***** about, even if it runs nines. To us it is still rice, and you will always be slower if someone comes out with a big motor car with equal mod's.

These discussions about money invested are lame, because you really never know how much is in a car, numbers can be construde, and usually when someone says it cost x amount of dollars to build a car, they forget the little things that all also add up.

unit213, the GN is an eastside car that's known to be seen in the Gratiot and Grosbeck fun spots.

They put a nice show on up at Stanton's Mid-Michigan Motoplex last fall for the M7 (GM only) event sponsored by camoroz28.com. I'll see if I can dig up the quick 16 finals video. They gave a 400 shot Nova the leave and ran them down.

"HOEBOX" how many times must I post my dyno/timeslip for you? I'm not posting it again. Take time to find it yourself this time. If you would like to see how fast it really is, come find out.

Why do you say these false alligations depicting imports as some frail p.o.s. Obviuosly, it had enough to drag that "LS1's" ***.

Ok, there is two things here, first off, the TA was sideway in 1st and 2nd, I am sure that was a problem! And he still only lost by less than a car! If he hooked the DSM would be dead.

2nd, what is up with that DSM, you would think that sombody who builds cars like that would have some taste, that cars is BUTT UGLY!! The paint is homo, the wheels are... , and over all it is just a gay car? That sucks.
